I’ve been quiet on here… the kids have been taking over my world… both human and furry!! 🤣

I’m excited to announce that we are now sharing our Goldenvale herd with you! ⭐️💜😍

We are now running goat experiences!
⭐️Sunset walks
⭐️Walk a goat
⭐️Bottle feeding sessions

Here are the dates for the social dog walks.

How it works- you drop your dog off at 8am- we go for a dog walk in various places on the farm (we will be going down the marsh on Friday) then you can pick them up at around 12.

It is £20 for the farm dog walk experience!

WHAT is HAPPENING in HEXHAM?!

We have classes running on a Tuesday

🤩Training for dog sports (being able to have your dogs off lead around other dogs, retrieve skills and focus!)
🤩Gundog training (7pm)
🤩Scent Hurdling (6pm)
These are held at Northumberland Dog Hotel

We are also running
🤩Life skills (obedience)
🤩Scent work & Mantrailing in various places across Hexham & Corbridge.

Monday 20th- Friday 24th July ⭐️⭐️

Activities include!

Monday AM- Gundog skills PM Scent work
Tuesday AM- Agility skills PM Course running Wednesday- day to chill on the farm or explore Dumfries
Thursday AM- Kayaking PM- bonfire & Scent Hurdling
Friday AM- Mantrailing at the beach

We are super excited to be running this again! Camping is included.

Our team is BACK!

Aurora had a lot of fun going down picking up her dumbbell and bringing it back over the hurdles.

Next stage is scent discrimination- can she retrieve my dumbbell out of 4! (The other dumbbells are scented by your other team mates!)

Teach your dog to come away from other dogs & other distractions with THIS GAME!

With your dog on lead to begin with (& a suitable distance to the distraction your dog struggles with) throw one piece of food towards the distraction, your dog then goes & eats this piece of food, they then check back in with you & you walk & feed in the opposite direction.

Top tips
⭐️Practice this at home first!
⭐️Have fun with this game!
⭐️Set you & your dog up for success!
⭐️The more they practice coming away from distractions the more they will do it!
⭐️Distance is key! Then decrease it over time!
