Reg charity no: 1122119 We are a registered charity passionate about saving cats lives. We have a community of cats based at Romney House. Some live with us permanently, living freely within the grounds, and others are rescued by us and kept in safe, comfortable enclosures whilst they await their forever home

s. All cats who come to us receive vet health checks along with flea and worm treatments. We also vaccinate, micro-chip and neuter if not already done. We then help them to find new loving homes, in return we ask for a minimum adoption donation of £180 so we can carry on our great work of giving cats a second chance.

A huge thank you to Pets at Home Orpington for welcoming Romney House Cat Rescue into store during their Wishlist Weekend from 22–25 May.

We were absolutely delighted and so grateful for the incredible generosity shown by customers and supporters. Thanks to your kindness, we received wonderful donations of cat food, litter and flea treatments, as well as generous cash and card donations to help us continue caring for the cats and kittens in our rescue.

Your support truly makes a difference and helps us continue our work helping cats in need. Thank you again to the fantastic team at Pets at Home Orpington for hosting us, and to everyone who donated and stopped by to say hello! 🐾💜

We have so many amazing adult cats in need of love that we would love for you to meet! Some have been here for quite some time, despite their amazing personality 😢 Allow us to introduce to you:

1 & 2) Chyna & Coco 🥰 Chyna is a luscious big boy, with a personality to match his size! His sister, Coco, is the same! They are a bonded pair to home together. 5 years old and have been with us for over 5 weeks now... this cuddly pair are food motivated, good with children and autistic children, and in need of garden access for some well needed exercise!

3) Snow White ❄️- guesstimated to be around 2 years old - this lovely lady is as chillaxed as they come! She was a stray found in Sittingbourne, who gave birth to 8 kittens. Nowadays, she's loving the relaxing life and is looking for a calm, solo-cat home where she can still partake in outdoor activities when it suits her im between cuddles with you 😍

4) Boss 🔲 - a 1 year old male who has had a hard life. His mother passed away giving birth to another litter and his litter mates are practically feral. He's been with us nearly 7 weeks and has taken quite some time to get used to us. Boss needs patience but he is very much worth the wait - this boy will cuddle and headbutt you to the end of the Earth. He can be a bit skittish so would do well in a quieter home, he gets along with other quiet cats but no one too boisterous or he won't stick up for himself. He just needs a warm lap to call home 🥹

5) Zeus🏺- approximately 3-5 years old. This guy has really lived a stray life. He's been with us just over a month now and with not a single bit of interest 😭 Zeus came to us with an abscess on his leg which has now been treated. He looked tufty and war torn but so grateful to now have somewhere warm and safe. This guy loves strokes but again, needs patience. If you come baring treats and cheek scritches - he will be loyal 😉

🐾 We’re Hiring! Join Our Rescue Team 🐾

Romney House Cat Rescue Centre is looking for a caring, reliable individual to join us in a part-time paid role helping support our wonderful cats 🐱

If you’re passionate about animal welfare and want to make a real difference, this could be the perfect opportunity. Duties are detailed on the poster and include caring for cats, also maintaining clean and safe spaces for our felines!

• A genuine love for cats
• A responsible and compassionate attitude
• Ability to work as part of a small, dedicated team

🐾Meet Prince👑

Prince is available for adoption, and has been here for nearly 2 months. Unfortunately, Prince has had trouble finding a home due to some cantankerous personality traits 😂🌶

To put it simply - Prince is very sweet and sour. He is a very chunky, handsome boy with the sweetest face and meow. He loves people and loves food even more! He lures you in for strokes, headbutts and fuss, then turns on you - to a grumpy, hissing old man 😂 He does not like to be approached with a surprise touch, or overhead, and will tell you off. Due to this cheeky and spicy nature, he has been at bit of a pickle at the vets...

Prince is 12 years old, and has a heart murmur. In the ideal world, he would have an echo, find out what's wrong and have some medication. But due to the spice, he cannot have an echo without being sedated - and only heart specialists can interpret the sedated heart results. We simply cannot afford this 😢😢

We are manifesting a long term foster for Prince 🙏🏻 Someone who will let Prince sit comfortably with you, be a bit grumpy at the world and go about his day. Not confined to the walls of a rescue, but have freedom for however long the rest of his life may be. Whether it be 1 month, 1 year, or maybe even another 10! He has made it this far so he must be doing something right! 😅
