Another little oldie also had her regular trim today ☺️
Dinky dot Gucci suffers with very weepy eyes and as her elderly owner has been poorly this week she hasn’t been able to clean them as often so asked for her face to be much shorter than usual to make it easier to keep clean 🥹
She was more conscious of Gucci’s welfare than aesthetics because it’s just hair and will grow back soon enough..! 🙃
Putting a dogs welfare before vanity is so important. Whatever makes them comfortable is what matters most..! 🤗
Gucci will be back in a few short weeks and can just have a light trim on her muzzle to recreate her usual fluffy look ❤️

My elderly ladies came for a shampoo and set today 😁. Sweet girls Meisha (13) and Phoebe (16) have a regular groom with me.🥰
Now I’ll be the first to admit that these are not the best photos as both girls are rather avoidant where the camera is concerned, and Phoebe has some facial disfigurement which means she looks a bit wonky bless her 🥴
She isn’t very keen on having her face touched, although I can do more than her mum..! 🫣
Despite their little foibles they are good girls and are always really sprightly after they’re finished..! A good groom does ignite a new lease of life in the more mature puppers..! 🤩
Anyway, they had a little trot around the front garden while waiting to be collected and will be back very soon as they’re booked right up until Christmas 🤗❤️

Ffia has the swagger of a super model after her groom and rightly so….she looks absolutely gorgeous 🥰🥰
It goes to show how regular grooming can help your dog not just look but feel 10 years younger..!

Wonderful Loki the therapy dog came again today and left several hours later able to see again 🫣😁
Loki is an Irish Labradoodle and has the softest and fluffiest coat I’ve ever felt on a doodle..! But this makes it quite challenging to groom.
He is the sweetest boy and takes it all in his stride….administering kisses at every opportunity 😘☺️
The children he visits when he goes back ‘to work’ next week will enjoy running their fingers through his beautiful coat now it’s all clean and combed through 🥰

Handsome Freddie has such a thick curly coat so even though he comes very regularly it’s never too soon..! 🤗
He has recently spent some fun times back with his breeder for a holiday so was definitely in need of a good deep clean and his tail was resembling a pipe cleaner after all the running through woods with his friends ❤️
After a conditioning shampoo and fluff dry he was all ready to be transformed into a smart boy again..! His coat feels just like velvet after his groom..🥰

Training and experience doesn’t ever stop no matter how long you’ve been doing something. 🤓
I have completed several short courses over the years when needing to complete 30+ hours CPD for hydrotherapy each year so I thought I’d keep my hand in and complete a grooming course again too..! 👌🏼
In October when I go to The Groomers Market with Suds n Clips dog grooming. I plan to also attend some seminars as other groomers sometimes have some great ideas on techniques. 😃
When you’ve done something for a really long time it’s easy to get stuck in your ways.
Not to say those ways are wrong but Sarah and I have had a few 💡 moments when we’ve attended seminars over the years (and the shopping is the bonus treat for learning stuff too..!🫣🤩
Always up for learning more….knowledge is power..! ❤️

Mabel comes for her pamper session every 6 weeks to maintain her gorgeous softer than soft coat..😍
Mabel is a cockerpoo with more cocker than poo hair 😁..she doesn’t have the usual curly coat..more gentle waves..!
She is such a pretty girl and always beautifully knot free as she keeps to her regular schedule with me ❤️

He is all better and cleared by the vets now so came to cash in his bath and brush that he missed out on and I gave him a little feet, sanitary and nail trim too just to tide him over until his next groom in a couple of weeks..! ❤️
Feeling all fresh and fluffy now he’s off to get all the cuddles 🤗

Working cockers may not have the longest of coats and don’t need professional grooming as often as some breeds, but it’s always surprising how much hair comes off when they have a bath and trim..! 😳
Agility dog in training Tiggi has her go faster haircut now and is ready for all the exciting days ahead of her..!

Gorgeous boy Obi the Tibetan Terrier came for his regular bath and clip today 🤗
Obi’s owner likes his ears and tail left long and flowing as Tibetans should be..! 🐶
He has a practical and manageable clip on his body and legs as their coats can get knotty very quickly..!

What The Fluff! went on tour for a few days to the New Forest where Ash strutted his stuff at Bournemouth Championship dog show on Sunday....coming a respectable 4th in Special beginners and 3rd in Post Graduate against some very experienced dogs..!

His third place means he qualified again for Crufts 2026 (he had already qualified but it’s nice to do the double 😁)
Very proud of my boy ❤️

Back to work for us tomorrow, and back to catching up with all the enquiries having been away with next to no signal for days..!! 😬
