Today I had lovely Lady in for another groom.

unfortunately I totally forgot photos today 🙈 apologies but although she was knotty it was just manageable and we didn't clip as close today. She looked super cute bless her.

It did take longer, as de-matting always does but she was a little super star 🌟 and I had an adorable little helper today too, pictured here testing out a dog bed in the pet shop 🤣

Sadly though Lady is in need of a new home. I do not know the details but I can vouch for what a lovely girl she is. As is Tricksy, her owners other cockerpoo also looking for a new home.

I had the lovely Star in fir her regular pamper today 🥰

And sweet Mable, whom I totally forgot to do pictures of today 🙈 but she's slowly starting to grow her coat back and even out after a nasty skin complaint bless her

So I've been super bad at posting again lately 🙈 despite taking photos ready to post (well mostly 🤦‍♀️ lol)

So here's a selection of recent grooms.

A few have been rescue jobs for various reasons. Poor Mable has been struggling with an unknown skin condition and needed a tidy up and to feel better, a couple of the others needed a start over 'short, back'n sides' after severe matting and Pippa needed to be evened out as much as I could after a family member home groom 🙈

Today I had the lovely Chewie and Ernie back for another groom.

After Ernie's 'close crop' last time their owners didn't want a lot of length off today but more of an all round tidy up.

Chewie's coat is easier to leave body length and blend that into tidied up legs/feet and head so lost little length overall.

Ernie's coat is a litter harder to leave length on the body and blend to shorter legs/feet/head without looking silly so had a little all over trimming to blend nicely.

Both good boys and super smart looking now (even if my photographic skills are a tad lacking 😅) 🐾

Good morning, so I'm still being a bit rubbish at taking and posting photo's 🤦‍♀️

But rest assured I'm still enjoying grooming all your lovely puppas 🥰

So it's February already and I've not wished everyone a happy new year or posted at all since Christmas.

My apologies for this, some of you will already be aware of why but I just thought I'd explain myself a little.

Heartbreakingly at new year I lost my beloved Great Dane Wilson aka 'W***y'

I have found life without him hard, though I have carried on I've been somewhat numb, is about the only word I think sums it up and so I've not been 'peopling' very well or remembering things like my before and after photos - although I have continued to groom with all the care and passion as always, just a little out of sync with usual routines.

However I have had 2 adorable new cockerpoos in for a groom with me today that I actually remembered all photos 😀

So please meet Pippa and her son Rodney 🥰

Pippa isn't a fan of her feet or face and suffers sore ears but did nothing but a little fidgeting bless her

And Rodney bless him needs confidence, he had a huge panic at being lifted onto the table and then struggled with standing tall and being asked to turn or move really in any direction. But we got there with lots of gentle handling and praise. Bless him such a sweet boy.

Gorgeous Lily came for another groom with me today. Lily's owner asked for poodle style short feet for managing her allergies but otherwise likes the cockerpoo length I do on so many.

As I pride myself on 2 main things - 1) where possible giving my clients what they want and 2) welfare being if utmost importance. Today's groom encompassed both parameters.

Adorable lily is so sweet, she sprang into the bath and despite very sore feet was an absolute pleasure and her owner is happy with her groom - happy doggy, happy owner and happy groomer 😀🐾

Yesterday I had beautiful Flo back for another groom. Flo usually has a short all over groom for practicality and due to matting but yesterday I was able to do my go-to cockerpoo length which is very popular. It's still fairly short and practical yet still retains that fluffy look. Her owner wanted a little length left for the winter months. Today was lovely Mabel. Mabel was with me much longer than usual as in her previous grooms she'd shown distress at the drying process so I wanted to try a different approach today. This approach takes a good bit linger but benefited her greatly and she was overall much happier in her groom today.

She is not a fan of de-matting, however, so some matts were clipped away for her comfort and both our safety.

Her owner was happy at my attention to Mabel's comfort being a priority
