Today, we said goodbye to my own dog my beautiful Jesse 💔🐾
Yesterday, we took Jesse to the beach because we knew it would be the last time she would feel the sand beneath her paws, the wind in her face and the thrill of dad throwing the 🥎
After nearly 12 years by our side, my little shadow has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Jesse wasn’t just a dog. She was family. She was there through so many chapters of our lives, even curling up on my bump while I was pregnant. She loved us all unconditionally and filled our home with loyalty, comfort and so much happiness.
She was tiny in size but enormous in personality. The smallest of them all, yet fearless enough to keep all of her giant brothers and sisters in line, often by hanging off a lip to remind them exactly who was in charge.
Making the decision to let her go peacefully was the hardest thing we’ve ever had to do, but it was made with nothing but love. After being visited by family who also loved her dearly, which meant so much to us, She spent her final moments at home, surrounded by the people who adored her, before finally being able to rest free from pain.
Our hearts are completely broken, and home will never feel quite the same without the sound of her little paws following us from room to room.
Run free & fast now, our beautiful girl. Thank you for every cuddle, every walk, every wag of your tail, and for choosing us to be your family.
Forever our shadow. Forever in our hearts. I hope you will miss me as much as I’ll miss you, until we are reunited 😭🦋
I hope Rico was waiting for you. Sleep peacefully, our Jesse. 🌈🤍
