Reminder: Your Rabbits Need 2 Vaccines 💉💉

Unfortunately, we have had reports from owners about vaccinated rabbits dying from what PCR testing then confirms as RVHD2.

As yet, it still isn’t possible for UK PCR tests to differentiate between the classic strain of RVHD2 and the new High Virulence strain, RVHD2(HV).

With this in mind, please ensure your rabbits are vaccinated with both the standard ‘triple’ vaccine and also the new vaccine that covers RVHD2(HV), but not myxomatosis.

🐰🐰RABBIT VACCINATION CLINIC- Saturday 29th November 🐰🐰

Both Nobivac and Yurvac available

The standard rabbit vaccination (Nobivac Myxo plus) provides protection against Myxomatosis and two strains of Rabbit haemorrhagic disease

There is a new strain of rabbit haemorrhagic disease that your rabbit will not be protected against by the current vaccination
An additional vaccination (Yurvac) offers protection against this new strain

From 1st July next year we will require that all rabbits boarding with us are vaccinated with both vaccines to ensure protection for everyone

We have vaccination clinics available for the new vaccination at a discounted cost to provide protection to as many rabbits as we can
The vaccine is just £25 per rabbit and a full veterinary health check is given at the time.
The clinic is open to all rabbits (not just those that board with us)
