I was hoping for a litttttle 🤏🏻 more leg growth but hey ho! definitely still need to work on my beveled feet/flared legs but I just cannot get my head around them for some reason 🤯 This is only my 3rd attempt so please don’t judge me 🫣

longer styles are so rare for me to do nowadays so I’ll take any practice I can get!! that’s the thing about grooming though, no matter how long you’ve been doing it there is always something to work on and improve. every single groom I try to get at least one thing better than the last, and honestly that’s what I love about my job so much 💞

I am SO excited to share that The Adored Dog Spa has been nominated for Best New Business at the NL Awards this year!! 🥹🤍

I opened just 6 months ago. SIX MONTHS. I do this completely on my own and I genuinely never expected something like this so early on. Every single client who has trusted me with their dog, shared a kind word, or supported me along the way, I’m so grateful for you! it really does mean everything!!

I’ve been grooming for 6 years and these are the things I’ve ALWAYS been rubbish at😅 Some of them I’ll probably never fix. But I still love every single day of it and I’m still finding my feet and my balance with it all on the business side of things!! 🙏🏻

I’ll find out at the end of July whether I place or not 🤞🏻

In my 6 years of grooming I’ve only ever done a big bichon head once before which was Lucky’s first visit 🤣 and it was SO out of my comfort zone. Still was today for the second time, but so much less so!! I’m really happy with how he’s turned out, such a patient & lovely boy 🫶🏻​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Maybe my partner will let me get my own poodle one day so I can progress onto in person comps but probably not 🤣

- motherfluffer shampoo & 10 in 1 spray grooming.uk - moisturising conditioner & dematting/finishing spray

one no show and two last minute cancellations in less than 24 hours. £200 gone. and I think it’s so important that people understand the real impact this has on small businesses.

I am always as understanding as I can be. life gets busy, things come up, I completely get it!! I’ve forgotten my own appointments before and the first thing I did was transfer the fee and apologise because I know what it feels like to be on the other side.

I wish businesses could run on leniency. I really do!! but I have rent, utilities, insurance etc, real outgoings to pay for that don’t disappear just because an appointment did. it’s already hard enough keeping up with the rising costs of running a small business & situations like this just makes it even harder.

I wish I didn’t have to charge for these things. but it’s just not fair on me to absorb that cost every time. when no show/late cancellation fees are refused without a second thought for the person on the other side, that’s what really hurts

to every small business owner who has had a day like this, I feel you 🥲

Little Hollie has done so well with her puppy grooms 🥹

She went from not letting me dry her head or ears at all, to now literally falling asleep whilst I’m doing it. She’s built so much confidence with the whole process, and even lets me use the nail file now!

Such a brave little girl and she really does love her time here at the salon 🥰
