Paddocks Farm Pet Dog Training We run fun pet dog training groups to help people to train their pets to be a member of their family. Socialisation is important with other dogs and people.

Classes include socialisation and obedience training along with fun activities based on agility, hoopers and gun dog type games.

Forecast tomorrow is 24 degrees by 10.00 so I think we have to say it will be too hot for training by then.
We will text everyone so anyone who wants to come at 8 can for a mixed session - we have put a large gazebo up for shade.
Otherwise please keep cool dogs don’t need to go out in the heat they will like us chill and enjoy a fan blowing on them.

New puppy group starting 17th May.

We teach your puppy social skills with people and other dogs. Each session begins with playtime off lead so that we can practice recalls before working on basic training commands on lead including: sit, down, stand, watch, wait, come and fetch. When puppies are old enough they will be introduced to older social dogs and we will use tunnels and step-overs to help build confidence and good proprioception skills.

Puppy Group - Socialisation and Training

New group starts this Saturday - special 4 week course for those December puppies.
Puppies will play while we chat about problems and training such as house training, biting, playing, sleeping and then we do an on-lead training session before further social time at the end.

We are a fun for dogs and owners and we train in a large barn in winter/ wet weather and out in a secure field in good weather.

New puppy group starts this Saturday at 8.45 open to puppies under six months old or small breeds up to a year old. Socialisation with training. Off lead play and recall training as well as basic commands: sit, down, stand, watch, wait, come, fetch and lead walking. We also discuss puppy raising issues: house training, appropriate play, biting, sleeping, etc.. positive incentive based methods by experienced dog trainer 30+ years.

Puppy Socialisation Mission

This is Geri’s hobby and she has run pet dog training classes for 30 years so has years of experience in helping owners with their dogs. These sessions are specifically for pet owners but the puppy training is designed so that if you want to go on and specialise in obedience or gun dog training or agility or other canine discipline the initial training done here, will be a basis to work from. Socialisation is the key feature of this training for dogs of all ages. We socialise the dogs so that they know how to meet and greet other dogs as well as people. This is really important and Geri is on a mission to change the social situation for dogs locally. The groups are deliberately kept small so that there is lots of time to talk about each dog individually. One-to-one private sessions are also available and home visits; particularly for young puppies.
