Checked over and serviced by Fenix ready for the big day. This wonderful carriage has an original delayed steering mechanism. Wonderful to see these original and loved carriages horsed for a family celebration.

Three of our obstacles are freshly flagged (up to F) with banners and bunting. There are three others available (unflagged) for training including the water. If you are booked in for obstacle training don’t forget to allow time for walking before your lesson. Alternatively walking the obstacle can be part of your lesson. See you soon 😊

Not to be outdone by the famous Royal Windsor swan, Fenix has a pair of ducks! Lovely to see them and they don’t seem too bothered by the carriage activity…. So far!

Easter weekend at Fenix Carriages was all about Coaching. The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers 2025 Cocahing bursary. This year’s worthy recipients spent the weekend under the watchful eye of Mark Broadbent and Bob Elliott and by Sunday afternoon they both had the opportunity to drive the Fenix KWPN team to the Millennium Road Coach. We wish Catherine and Eleanor every success for the future, two talented and enthusiastic ladies.

We don’t often do weddings but when we do they are a little bit different. This Saturday we had the pleasure of driving Craig and James to their wedding with their competition driving horse and their pretty Landau by Offord. New shafts were needed, a service and a check for soundness as it hadn’t been used for a while. Some slightly different training for their special horse Buddy who did think he was at the start of a marathon at one stage and then settled in-front of a huge crowd of guests like he was in a prize giving! Here are a few behind the scenes shots of the preparation.
