Good morning! I have slots available for grooming new dogs. Book in a meet & treat appointment this week, we can discuss your dogs needs and make a plan!🐶

My environment is one-to-one to enable your dog to relax. We take lots of breaks, go at your dogs pace and tailor each groom so that your dog feels in control. If your dog struggles at the groomers, please get in touch and I am happy to discuss how we can work together.

I’m studying a Behaviour grooming diploma with The Holistic Grooming Academy. The module I’m currently working on is Canine cognition, emotions and behaviour, which is so important as a foundation for understanding dogs in the grooming environment.

As a groomer I’m committed to working to understand your dog, and supporting them to feel comfortable with the grooming process. I’m not happy grooming an anxious dog, but I welcome the opportunity to work with your dog to build up their trust and work towards a groom, on their terms.

Good morning!

I want to talk about my ethos.

I’m not promoting myself as a stylist for your dog. I’m not looking to do the perfect hairstyle as quickly as possible.

After studying L3 Dog grooming, I looked at how to adapt what I’d learnt so that your dog feels more comfortable in the grooming environment. So that your dog has choices. So that the process is not overwhelming. It looks at what the individual triggers might be for your dog.

This might mean the groom takes longer.

It’s about comfort over style.

This means your dog has regular breaks during the process, and is listened to when they show signs of stress.

It could mean the groom isn’t completed in one session.

It might need a serious of introductory sessions before building up to the groom.

But this is tailored to each individual dogs needs, and we take it SLOW.

Last month I completed a full day of training to qualify me in Canine 1st aid. A very interesting day, which leaves me better prepared if an emergency should arise.
