New Species Alert ⚠️

We are so pleased to announce that we have welcomed 2 Colombian Black Spider Monkeys to Amazona this week.
Amabel and Loco are 10 year old brothers and are settling in well. Over the last few days they have been exploring their enclosure and enjoying some new enrichment.
We hope you come to see them soon 😊
Amazona has been approved as a non - EAZA EEP participant for the Colombian Black Spider Monkey EEP - an EEP (Ex situ Programme) is an EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquaria) population management programme. Colombian Black Spider Monkeys are classed as Vunerable in the wild (IUCN redlist)
We are so pleased to be joining the collaborative efforts in EAZA with housing this species.
