Dont worry they aren't going up! 🤣

I've noticed that more and more potential and existing clients are struggling with money right now, and many have come to me after being quoted very large amounts by other dog trainers, or having to save for abit longer before booking in.
This genuinely makes me sad, without going down the rabbit hole of politics and how the UK is sadly going, sadly more and more people seem to be affected!

Everyone wants what is best for their dog, but training shouldn't feel financially impossible, or be a burden.
My focus has and always will be providing the best support and guidance possible, and keeping it accessible.
Keeping and owning a dog is already expensive, I know I have 4!

Every dog deserves the chance to succeed, and every owner deserves access to help!

What a difference a week makes.....

Last we we had to reschedule over 90% of lessons due to it being too hot 🔥 even though there was still people out walking in 30°+......
This week looks like we will be dodging rain and thunderstorms 🤣

However it meant I was able to get on with some jobs I have been putting off for a while, some more business ideas, a tidy out in the van, my new BBQ had some serious use! And dogs all bathed and Oscar got a new summer trim!
Only slight problem is Boden is now jelous so will have to book him in now as well 😒 😂

Not forgotten about the classes I have previously mentioned, just trying to organise dates and times!

Well what a bank holiday weekend ☀️

First time in a long time I can remember its not actually rained, let alone sunny each day 🤣

All the dogs have been bathed and brushed today, all have gone very fluffy! And all are currently asleep with their fan going flat out 😂

Now if you follow this page, I dont need to point out or remind you all how to look after your dogs in the heat, I have faith in you all!
However whilst driving around today seen some people walking dogs when it hit 31/32 degrees, one of the dogs was barely walking along it was panting that hard!

If you have lessons booked for this week keep an eye on your messages, if its too hot we will be rescheduling. Those of you who are waiting for me to book you in, I'm not ignoring you, just waiting to try and plan around the weather!

Now, fire up the smoker, pour a glass of something and sit back 🔥

Cooper the Staffie

His owner have not long had him, he came to them in poor condition with a multitude of health problems 😢

Once they had started to get on top of these, they then decided it was time to work on his behaviour

He was the typical staff and wanted to be everyone's friend, however he went around this the wrong way, he would get so exited and run and jump up on visitors as well as the owners children. We were able to show him, he would get more attention with his feet on the floor, his owners asked if we could also work on stopping him pulling on the lead as well.

When we first left the house he pulled like a train and would scent mark every few steps!
Five minutes later hes calmly walking along side his owner, and no longer dragging them to every smell, or p*e spot on the walk

With a couple of small changes both Cooper and his new owners are on the right path to getting the most out of each other 😃

This little lad had a session to work on his lead walking as well as his recall

His owners also wanted some tips to work on improving his behaviour at home, including stopping him jumping up on visitors!

He smashed his session, with big improvements all round

A short video send to me by an owner!

Louie the rescue, had a questionable past unfortunately
With a few incidents meaning he was up for rehoming 😔

His new owners wanted to make the right start, soon as they brought him home 🏡

With everything from his behaviour in the house, lead walking, recall, reactivity around dogs and not wanting to give things up.

Fast forward and here he is!
Goes to show some hard work and perseverance, you will get there in the end 😃

These two have both shown that it doesn't just have to be a 'collie thing!'

Their owners contacted myself as they were in need of some help, with a new baby in the family, it highlighted some behaviours that needed addressing.

One was very noise sensitive, and would bolt at the sight of the hoover or loud noises, as well as hearding the other dog . The other would demend attention, especially if the baby was around!
Both dogs also needed work on walking nicely along side their owners, and not dragging them in every direction 😔

Well, only two sessions in, no more running from the hoover, no more jumping at loud noises, no more hearding, no more demanding attention, no more barging through doors or gates, general calmness in and out of the house and both dogs were able to walk along side the pram on one hand!

Their owners were more than happy with the progress, showing that just because a breed is known for something, doesn't mean thats how it always has to be!

Great work from all involved 🙌

Another busy week, with everything from 8 week old puppies, to dogs with severe reactivity, and everything in between!

For everyone who keeps asking Boden is doing well, hopefully his next visit to the Animal Hospital he will finally be able to come off his medication, its been a LONG 12 months!

We also have the possibility of a new training ground, which would allow for classes and workshops 😲

This lad had a session to work on his behaviour at home an out on his walks!

He would bark at anyone or anything going past his house, as well as dogs out and about.

An hour later his owners couldn't believe the progress he had made!

He was able to pass dogs on a busy high street with no reactions, as well as me and Oscar passing his house and rattling the letterbox 😄

Plenty of homework now! 🤣

The price of everything! 💵

As I'm sure everyone is aware, nothing is getting any cheaper lately 🤣

I have had a lot of people ask me will lesson prices be increasing?

The answer is No.... for as long as I can

Even though, my fuel bill has gone from around £140ish a WEEK to over £200!!!

I am doing my best to keep prices down for customers new and existing, trying to group lessons in similar areas where I can.

Another crazy busy week (with thanks to you all with all the recommendations, both in person and online), along with a behaviour report and assessment done for a rescue, as well as a behaviour report and assessment to submit to the police, both done free of charge.

The report for the police, the dog had done no wrong, and was solely reported on his appearance alone, however, and its a big however, hes been able to stay with his owners 👌 👏

I might be constantly be covered in dog hair and slober, and have a small dependency on energy drinks 😂 but day like that make it all worth it!
