When I ask if you have a well charged, solid marker, this is what I mean...
The benefit of using a marker in training is clarity. Whether it’s a clicker or a verbal marker such as “yes,” it allows you to pinpoint the exact moment your dog makes the correct choice.
A strong marker becomes a promise that reinforcement is coming, helping your dog understand precisely which behaviour earned the reward. This speeds up learning, improves communication, and creates confidence in the training process.
If your marker isn’t charged properly, it’s just noise. If it is charged and meaningful, it becomes one of the most powerful tools you can have in your training toolkit.
