☀️Pavement Test☀️
Have you heard of the pavement test? If you can’t keep your hand on the pavement for longer then 5 seconds then it’s too hot for your dog!

Walk your dog either early in the morning or late in the evening.

It’s not going to hurt not having a walk but could be devastating walking them in the heat.

If you have any concerns about your pet in the heat please don’t hesitate to call 01242 239338

🐾 IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR DOG OWNERS 🐾

We are seeing a increased number of potential Kennel Cough Cases.

Kennel cough as it is commonly known is an airborne and highly infectious virus, that be spread by being in close contact to another infected dogs, or sharing items such as toys or bowls. As you can imagine it’s very contagious, and easy to pick up wherever an infected dog is or has been!

The main sign of infectious tracheobronchitis is a forceful hacking cough, which may sound like retching, or trying to clear something stuck in the throat. This cough can last for many weeks!

If you notice any of these symptoms or become concerned your dog is suffering with Kennel cough please call us on 01242 239338 and isolate your dog from other dogs until further advice from the vet.

We hope you are having a wonderfully relaxed Sunday 🐾 we would like to firstly express our thanks to our lovely clients for their understanding and support in the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

We would like to ask that when visiting us for appointments, enquiries or medications that a face covering is considered.

We as a team will continue to use face coverings as well as additional protective clothing to try and prevent outbreaks within the team and to keep all of you safe also.

Medication requests (including flea and worm treatment) to be made in advance (ideally 48hrs notice) to ensure they are ready for collection and due to high levels of demand they can not always be available there and then.

At present we still wont be inviting owners into the consult room unless in exceptional circumstances, this is a decision we haven't made lightly but we must protect our staff as much as possible to ensure high levels of care and appointment availability.

Once again we thank you for your understanding 💕

Changed opening hours:
Saturday 9-1
Sunday Closed
Monday to Friday 9-6.

There will always be an emergency contact number on the answerphone if we are closed, this will either be for Chelvets or one of our team.
