Important Pet Travel Update for UK pet owners

New rules have recently come into force if you’re travelling with dogs, cats and ferrets from Great Britain to the EU.

EU issued pet passports will no longer be valid for GB residents, even if they were issued prior to 22 April 2026. You will now need an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) for each trip to the EU.

Cats can now officially book their own appointments through our new system.

Current bookings include:
• “General attitude review”
• “Human incompetence check”
• “Extra snacks consultation”

Owners are still required for transport (unfortunately).

Neutering in cats 🐱
Neutering is the general term for the operation that prevents all cats from being able to mate and reproduce.
You may know it as ‘spaying’ in female cats and ‘castrating’ in male cats.
It is recommended that cats are neutered from 4 months old- this is because female cats can become pregnant from this age.

We are very pleased to share that we work with the Cats Protection League to offer low cost neutering to those fitting the eligibility criteria.

You may be eligible if you:
•Have a household annual income of less than £25,000 before tax
• Are in receipt of: universal credit, income support, housing benefit, council tax benefit, pension credit, income based employment and support allowance (ESA), income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA), working tax credits and child tax credits

Please note that the cats protection must be contacted directly for a neutering voucher before booking with us.
