Measuring for a new bridle - how!?

If you have a bridle that already fits and you just need a new version the easiest thing to do is to measure each part.

You can also use this as a guide for when you donโ€™t have a bridle already, however I can talk you through the measuring process or this video can help you too.

Otis appreciation post!!
Sunday, we headed to Pontispool Equine Sports & Holidays to take part in the Cotswold Cup. Otis' 1st attempt at an ODE. On paper, our results were a long way from the best, but we couldn't be more pleased with how it went.

Dressage was good, considering it was his 1st test on grass and with so many other horses around. He actually behaved perfectly it's a shame I got the test wrong!!

Showjumping, a lovely round with a very out of character stop at the last. And with his future in mind, we decided it was best not to go xc.

He's a young horse who still gets very tired, brain, and physically. Sunday was a day with lots of new for Otis, a new venue with more horses, lorries, and trailers than he'd ever seen before, and he's never done more than one element before. In his usual way, he wasn't phased by any of it and was just the same horse as he always is, but he did begin to fade for the last 3 fences sj so considering the heat, the ground, which Pontispool had done an amazing job on and with his future in mind we called it a day. Disappointing to not do the fun bit, but if we'd had an issue xc, that would have been so much more disappointing. He's young and there will be plenty more opportunities to come! The main aim was to give him a nice fun experience, which we did and he came home very happy.
