I have two repaired full size leather headcollars needing new homes.

One is black leather, silver fittings with a brand new headpiece.

*PROVISIONALLY SOLD* One is brown leather, bronze fittings that’s had the back of the noseband replaced.

Neither were made by me in the first place, both highly serviceable!!

Black one is £15

Collection preferred but postage available at additional cost. No returns on 2nd hand though.

I will be at King Sedgemoor EC in the afternoon of Sunday 1st November for dressage, so if you want to collect then please contact me beforehand!

Deluxe Comfort Drop Noseband (Unpadded or Padded options)

Look what I rediscovered the other day!!

Apprenticeship completed in 1992 (when SMS was known as The Worshipful Company of Saddlers). How old am I??!!!

Things you can do with your old leathers...

Upcycling Part 2

Many of you know that I have been making leather bracelets for years. My wife was spotted wearing her Overlay bracelet by someone who loved it. She asked if it would be possible to have the same design but made from a much cherished pair of stirrup leathers.

I was delighted to give a new lease of life to the leather she supplied and brought the holes to the outer strap to show the heritage of the piece. Now on it's way to Belgium my customer can keep the memories the leathers gave in the past close to hand once more.

With a good leather care routine, this bracelet will go on for many more years to come.

New This Month: The Deluxe Comfort Easy Poll Headpiece

I've added the Deluxe Comfort Easy Poll Headpiece to my range this month, it's designed to ease pressure at the poll without compromising on padding, structure, or the quality you'd expect from a bridle made entirely by hand.

At the crown, the Easy Poll Headpiece is cut back to a narrower strip of leather, easing pressure where the poll needs it most while still carrying full padding beneath. It's a small design change with a real effect on comfort, and it's one we use on our own horses. It's still made using the same premium English leather and padding system found throughout the Deluxe Comfort range.

The Easy Poll Headpiece is made to order, not mass produced. Whether you choose a standard off the peg size or a fully made-to-measure fit, it's shaped and stitched here in my workshop by me with my eyes on every stage of the process.

And because it's designed to work as a standalone piece, the Easy Poll Headpiece isn't limited to TC Leatherwork bridles. It fits comfortably with anatomical bridles from other brands too, making it an easy way to bring better poll comfort to a bridle you already own and love.
