***The office will therefore be open 8 am - 10 am only on Saturday 30th May*** (To allow Bruce to get his hair done 🤪)

Of course, after that there will be a vet on hand to help with any emergencies only that may arise.

We have had an adult black male entire cat handed in from Broom Park in Dalbeattie. He may well be a stray, but please get in touch with the surgery on 01556502263 if you think he might be yours. He is not microchipped

Are You Ready for Love? A story to warm your Cold Heart…
Elton the owl was handed in to us, collapsed on Tuesday (We thought Saturday Night was For Fighting). We suspect he was hit by a car… I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues
It has been no Sacrifice for the whole team to not let The Sun Go Down On him.
But by Wednesday, this Tiny Dancer was Still Standing.
He has gone from strength to strength along The Yellow Brick Road to show us the Circle of Life.
Can you Feel the Love Tonight for this High Flying Bird… you could even say he is back to being a Rocketman!
He moves into his aviary tomorrow to continue his rehab. It must be Written In The Stars.

We’ve sadly had a deceased male ginger cat brought into the surgery this evening. He doesn’t have a microchip but does have a yellow collar. He was found at the Dalbeattie bypass.

🐴Smarter Worming This Autumn 🍂 :Focus on Tapeworm🐴

At SVC, we’re always looking at how to use parasite treatments more effectively across all the species we care for. Blanket worming may seem convenient, but over time it increases the risk of parasites becoming resistant – which means these vital medicines may not work when we really need them.
