Ozzy 💔 💜 Order Of Service March ‘10 - March ‘25
The first horse of ‘my own’. The first horse to train, own and race. My first ever Jersey runner.
Thankyou Ozzy for always teaching me and helping me to understand what real love can do to a horse. From the scared backwards horse, with numerous of horror stories attached, you gave me joy, freedom, lots of love and enjoyed even the kids riding you! Ozzy has Had the most love in his chilled retired life, forever will be in my heart. Love you boy.
Rest easy, Gallop pain free over rainbow 🌈 bridge my dear friend. ###

Happy 5 years!!! Okay… 2days late… but still … 5 years with these special boys in my life 💜 we have had plenty of adventures, vet bills, blood sweat and tears shed, but a whole lot of love and happiness too!
Thankyou so much for coming into my life (along with Ozzy and Hobo)
But especially Perry for being my hero for making things possible together as a proper team! Me and Ginger will get back out again soon too!
I thank Sheila and Nigel so much for allowing me to have Perry and Ginger 💜🥰

Well what a weekend!! Myself, Perry and of course the sidekicks Harley and Lynn travelled down to Leicestershire to compete in Leg 1 of the , A good 4.5 hours travel time and we got there in some beautiful sunny countryside with plenty of time to walk the excellent course that had been made!
With our last scurry outing in the Melton, ending up with an unfortunate unplanned dismount from me at the 5th (then lameness from Boxing Day onwards) today was our first scurry back, with just a plan to jump off midfield, get round safe and home 💜
Well Im so glad I made sure I doubled strapped my knee, as Perry pulled it out the bags, jumped his socks off, pulled me to catch up with the front pack! 🌟🏇🏼
Some brilliant hedges and fences, we finished a close finishing 7th out of 30 horses!! We got round safe, sound, 1 missing shoe and a few prickles. But my goodness I couldn’t be more proud of Perry if I tried! He truely looked after me, kept me onboard, with a few hairy horse bunched up jumps! 🤣
It’s all taking time, but that is paying off! I’m so glad we can finally get out and have some more fun together 🥰💜🏇🏼

Asking anyone with TB’s/racehorses.

Recovery time, cost ?
Success stories 🙏🏻
Eventually going to look into getting Perry a wind op, as under high pressure I feel that it affects him. A tongue tie helps, but eventually I’d like to be able to do more for him when I save up.
Thoughts & opinions?
I would ask my local vets Paragon, as I trust them with Perry as they’ve dealt with him before.
But just looking at all options to help him before opting for an op xx

Get yourself a horse you can enjoy life with 😍😜💜
One weekend a racehorse … two weeks later another run due, but abandoned… so go to show jumping and Cross country instead! Straight in at 90cm 🌟
8 faults SJ (1 pole, 1 circle as lost my way 😅)
Cross country 2.46 optimum time … me and Perry with some brakes on … 2.04 🤣🤣 finished 2 overall in seniors xx my lite champ xx

An 8weeks progress with Perry ! Aka Our Year 💜
As many people know we were having an ongoing battle with lameness mainly due to the injury he sustained to his hoof/heel/coronet band on Boxing Day ‘23 whilst out hacking.
It had healed well, and I was riding him for about a month before he went lame again for nearly 12 weeks.
Thankyou to our Vet Sabine and farrier Derek Gardner, for all help and advice working on his poorly foot!!
So fast forward finally our first ride back on May 21st (happy happy)
It was all good from there! Plenty of road work, walking and trotting.
Really pleased with his progress. He loves a good canter so we would canter now and then to keep sweet.
We had a little feeling about racing and only really when towards the end of June was coming did we do any faster work.

ANYHOW! Long story short!! Me and Perry finally got onto a racetrack together!!! We went flapping on July 14th and we came 3rd!!! So so so proud of him ###x

I owe this horse everything, he has kept me going so much and through some very dark times. Animals will always heal and I’m so grateful he came into my life. I will always be grateful to Sheila and Nigel 💜

Whoops I havnt posted on this page recently ! I apologise ! It’s been a busy month, whether working , flapping, riding or driving it’s been a full on month or so!
The boys have been super and really lapping up the grass and field changes. Ginger being home has made him work up the hills and in the field and a lot of work to help get rid of the abscess in his foot that was making him so uncomfortable.
Perry has been gradually increasing his fitness.. (another post for that) Ozzy and Hobo just loving life ! Xx I love my gang together 💜🏇🏼🥰

Oh look mum I do know how to stretch whilst trotting by myself!! Horrayy!!
Just a mini workout today, so a bit of loose ‘lunging’ in the pen. Definitely one of Perrys learning places, when he has to really slow down and relax, finally he is learning to stretch whilst trotting !

Absolutely blessed to be able to still have a small part of Sunnie’s education in life 💜
Today saw me helping his wonderful owners take Sunnie to the beach for the first time!
It was also my first UK beach ride!! Firsts all round!
At the start Sunnie was quite worried about coming down the sand dunes, as they can be pretty steep, we tried a couple and then found a lower sloped one, which we managed to lead him down onto the beach, which he was unsure at first, with new texture and feeling under his feet from the soft sand, rocks and then was unsure of the water, so it was quite wobbly getting onto the better sand.
We did it so I got him going forward and did some trotting and some cantering, a pic of me riding was where his head started, as he was anxious of new surroundings etc to then his loverly owner Jacey-May getting on and just look how well he goes!
I am so so proud of this little duo, they have been putting in so much work to make Sunnie the best version of horse to have fun on, I can’t say enough what a pleasure he was to ride and what an absolute credit to the hard work that is being put in. He is gunna be a special little horse with Jacey! 😍💜

Meet the boys 💜
Perry - Our Year 💜 8yrs, b, g , 17.1hh
- a super all round guy, loves to jump, gallop and be my best friend. We havnt yet got onto the racecourse -caught by covid and then a fractured pelvis, but there is still time.. watch this space! 🏇🏼🌟 we love having the vets as our best friends 🤣 we love hacking, hunt races, hedge days, beach rides and swimming. Most of all enjoying life and spending money to get fixed all the time 🤣

Ozzy- Order of Service 💜 15yrs, ch, g, around 16.1hh
- a loverly boy, who is happily retired, he doesn’t really enjoy being a riding horse, and owes me nothing. Gave me my first ride in jersey as a Trainer/Owner & jockey all at once. It was a proud moment, as he had really fell out of love with the sport, he knew when he had enough. 🥰

Ginger- Ginger Lacey 💜 9yrs b, g around 15.3hh
- a cool little dude who was gifted my his owners to me to retrain, we had done a lot of low level showjumping together, unfortunately he had an accident with some fencing, so damaged his back legs, but they are slowly healing nicely. So we may just get back out again 🙏🏻 he is a kind soul and loves to please anyone who rides him 🥰 need an updated photo of him very soon! Xx

Hobo- Littlest Hobo 💜 the super duper companion pony to everyone, the worst behaved of them all, the one who I have fallen off the most, speedy little thing when fit! Currently using his fatty pony muzzle as the grass is coming through!!

Got the crew back together again for a while! Needed some grass eaten off so Ginger has come to help out 🥰😍💜 the boys were happy to see him, even hobo with his little fat boy muzzle, thanks Heather for having him for a while , he said he can’t wait till the grass comes back at yours! Xx

Well this day couldn’t have come any sooner !
So so happy right now 💜
4th of March was our last ride as Perry pulled out lame.
11 weeks of not being able to ride him has been the worst! No freedom, no exploring and no mindfulness. But Perry has had the best break and probably when the worst of the weather was about too! I think it has actually done him the world of good despite him holding his fitness really well, he has gained a bit of condition which is good!! 😍
We’ve had the most loverly stroll out and bits of trotting for an hour of chilled round the roads 😍
Thankyou for everyone who has helped get him sound again, especially time! 🙏🏻🥰
Thankyou Perry boy, hopfully we can have a little bit of fun over the summer now- and try and strengthen my knee up a little .. though a ruptured ACL and torn meniscus is a little on the sore side !!
So any fellow riders who have done similar .. please give suggestions!! I’m Down on the waiting list for an op too 😅💜
