Well! Over and out for the most brilliant Scurry season with Rolex aka Espoir De Guye. Counting my lucky stars to have Rolex and Perry as the coolest duo !! 💜🤍🏇🏼
Myself and Rolex finished 5th overall and ‘best newcomers’ in this seasons 25/26 after only 6 runs!!
Perry:
Cottesmore- fell
Rolex:
Berwickshire - Unseated
Cotswold - 14th
Courtfield Cup- 5th
Kiplingcotes Derby - 5th
Harborough - 4th
Wynnstay- 6th

What a credit to all teams, hunts, supporters, course builders and organisers!
Really can’t wait and try and do more next season ! 💜🏇🏼
Thankyou!! Thankyou Roly 💜

Sunday 19th April - The Wynnstay Hunt Scurry -which there was also gate jumping and a Teamchase day!! Fabulous day out!
Honestly, I was really anxious on this day, for a number of reasons, I couldn’t catch my breath, head wasn’t really working ‘well’. But that said Rolex behaved impeccably- like he knew. (As he does get a little impatient sometimes) .. the course walked great, beautiful day.
3.15pm was the start! Rolex jumped the first two ace, then the third i had a real foggy ‘oh sh*t’ moment and I competed guided him wrong and second guessed it- so we ended up going through the top of the hedge, me unseating, so think also hitting a railing. We seemed okay, no obvious signs at all at that point- so we were able to carry on. Climbed back up, he felt okay, so then to get round was the aim. The rest of the course was fabulous. Rolex tries so hard without really trying - I then just let him do his thing he just takes me without asking. He looked after us both, and cruised around the drop hedge and big hedge in front of the crowds to then catch up with the main group by fence 10&11, which was another tasty hedge !
We finished 6th overall!! So so proud- 3rd lightweight, 1st Farmer!
I am so so grateful for Rolex for all the fun the past few months.
He is a dream - the pilot just needs to let him do his thing and relax more beforehand !!
So Monday morning came (he was fine when we got home the night before) - he was not 100% so I pulled out of our final race for the season, because he deserves the care and love, not just to run for the pure sake of it. The boys’ interest are the main thing, to keep them happy and healthy xx
Another post shortly to end our awesome Hunt Scurry Season!

Sunday 22nd of March, the Harborough Ride ! Finished 4th!!!
Here is some raw camera footage from my GoPro from today’s ride- one that I was just going for a little spin round after having run in the Courtfield cup last weekend and the Kiplingcotes Derby on Thursday!
Feeling really happy after a super round today- to finish fourth was unbelievable! I just wanted to have a good spin round as Rolexes done so well the past week so actually Rolex airlines opened up again and we just cruise round no effort it just really really enjoying ourselves over some epic hunting country and fences.
Apologies for the clanging as the case on my GoPro is a little bit broken, but here’s some footage. Enjoy.!!

Raw footage … Kiplingcotes Derby. 507th year running!
Totally far from what i was expecting!! The speediest race over about 4miles on verges! Wow- pretty cool and totally crazy! The winner set some pace, I think we did ace considering!
Rolex was a dude (though he didn’t like the waiting around at the ‘meeting point’) - during the race he was foot perfect, just ran out of steam/ and seemed to of held his breath towards the end ! But tried his best so well 💜
We finished a super 5th super proud of Roly!

Wow. After having a couple days to ‘recover’ from our Near 500 mile round day trip to Ross On Wye on Saturday… here are some epic photos from an awesome day!!
14th March - The Courtfield Cup - both our first time competing in this scurry !
Woahhh what a course! Such a beautiful place!! Stunning views, fab people!! The variety of Hedges, ditches, walls *dreaded* water jump 😅🤣 *caused a lot of carnage!

Anyway!! All aboard Rolex Airlines … not the most ideal start, but carried on ! Travelling great, jumping unreal but we totally misjudged the take off for the water jump ! Ejected!! But I Held on - he was okay, so we rebooked the flight and took off again !!
At that point the aim changed - To just finish sound and happy- let alone finish 5th overall!! What a Marvellous spin round in almost complete isolation! Rolex was epic for the rest of the scurry, handled the ditches -and huuuge canyon amazingly!!
I couldn’t of been any more proud of him xx
Credit to the course builders and team behind the scenes - what a fabulous event!
Rolex was pleased to be back with Perry and the gang, eaten up and legs are good… so roll on the next 🏇🏼💜🎉🙏🏻
Thankyou Rolex 💜

Some of my raw go pro footage from the hunt scurry yesterday! I had cut about -1.5mins of me trying to get back on after an unshipment at the water, and shortened the long stretch through the gorgeous woods ! But my gosh what a spin!
Rolex what a dude !!! - most of the rave in isolation, the point where I go ‘oh my god’ when coming up to the canyon 🤣😅

Well then where were we…?! The 28th February was the day of the which I was ready for my first ever go in it too!!
We had a little pre jump practice alongside Harley during the week!
Me and Quetzi hit the road at 1am on Saturday along with Rolex and the two pups (of course) Harley & Lynn.
A long drive down with a few stops for snoozes, we arrived with plenty of time to relax, feed Rolex, walk the 3 mile course- which was wonderful!
10am was race time .. so all aboard ‘Rolex Airlines’ … because my gosh !!! What a spin round !!!
I wanted to be competitive, but I also wanted to gain confidence with Rolex as a partnership over the bigger obstacles, after last weekends unseating, so we chose the safer option- seeing how busy it was in front of me.. and what a totally awesome time we had and finished 14th!!
3miles round, 20 obstacles and a very happy horse and rider afterwards!! Thanks Roly!! 💜🏇🏼
A very well made course an absolute credit to the organisers and the team. We definitely will be doing it again!!

Next stop … Courtfield Cup! 🙏🏻

Finally have a little bit of head space to finally get a few updates on here!!
Hunt scurries 2026 are a go!
February 21 meant myself and Rolex going up to the Berwickshire hunt Scurry along with my friend Harley and her horse Woody- whom it was also their first scurry together as a partnership. I’m absolutely very lucky to be able to ride Rolex, he is a saint.
Sadly it wasn’t meant to be our dream start together trying to win back the trophy that myself and Perry won last year, but that’s okay. We can always try again. ! We were in the lead and unfortunately I un seated four jumps out- a miscommunication between myself and him but nonetheless an absolute fantastic day very well organised and very grateful to be able to competing these scurries that all the teams behind the scenes do such a great job to hold!
We were looking forward to the Cotswald Hunt scurry the following weekend which I will update you on next!!
