Tails & Trails Dog Walking My name is Emily and I am the sole owner of Tails & Trails Dog Walking. just about anything really!!

I grew up in Surrey and moved to Cumbria in 2015 and have never looked back since due to Cumbria's unrivalled charm. I am passionate about animals and about walking and hiking and so starting a dog walking business felt like a no brainer. I’ve always been around dogs having grown up with a Chocolate Labrador (Coco), a Springer Spaniel (Bertie) and a Black Labrador (Monty) and so I know just how sp

ecial they are. I am currently working my way through the 214 Wainwright peaks with my own furry friend Jasper. Jasper is a Collie Cocker cross and as such is FULL of energy and in need of plenty of exercise. Jasper is a very friendly dog and loves to swim and to play fetch with a stick or a ball or well.. My background is in hospitality and more specifically hotel management but after being furloughed in 2020, I had time to re-evaluate my goals and ambitions and decided to work toward realising my dream to work with animals and as such, Tails & Trails was born. I consider myself to be reliable, compassionate and experienced handling dogs of different breeds and temperaments and I would love to meet some of your four-legged friends and be their new walking buddy! • Diploma in Professional Dog Walking & Pet Sitting (CPD Certified)

• DBS checked – certificate available on request
• Member of Professional Dog Businesses UK
• Plenty of experience

Nara and I are 3 months into our journey now and she’s made some absolutely mega progress. Today we are due to venture out to a secure field together for the first time. That being said, on Friday, we spent some time practicing me putting her muzzle and collar on and off. We also went for a little walk, spent some time bonding and playing in the garden and then worked on some van conditioning and to be honest, she absolutely smashed all of it. Really loving seeing Nara blossom and come out of her shell more and more every time I see her. She’s amazing 🧡

Last week was a bit of a mixed bag, and I’m definitely not complaining about the cooler temperatures this week! 😅

The heat meant early starts, shorter walks, reduced hours, plenty of pop-ins, and unfortunately some lost business. We did get a brief break on Wednesday when temperatures eased, allowing us to get closer to normal service.

Of course, we’re grateful for the sunshine—especially with a rainy week looking likely ahead. It would just be nice if we could enjoy those sunny days in a slightly more dog-friendly way! ☀️🐾

Thankfully, it looks like business as usual this week. And in true Cumbrian fashion, that means it’s time to dig the raincoat back out again! 😂☔
