Massive day today for Peggy!!! Gorgeous walkies just Peggy and I. Collected from home with mam out and she was so scared bless her. So I sat and played with her toys till she settled. And off we went for a walk. Fully aware she wasn’t as relaxed or her usual self and on guard for anyone that passed us. Everyone we met was lovely and gave us space. But Peggy then sat on the bench with me for a treat ot two! Well done Peggy!!! ###

Gorgeous walkies with Tasha, Benjy, Amber and Alba today. What a lovely little walk. Was busy today. We had a gorgeous walk along the river and Tasha was eying up the ducks and birds! What is pet bereavement support?

🩶 Totally safe place to discuss the loss of a beloved pet.

🩶 I have had extensive training and experience in loss and grief as a midwife, in funeral care and now relating to pet loss. I have completed two pet loss support courses (Pet Bereavement Counsellor Diploma, With distinction. And Blue Cross Pet loss support training) and I am committed to ongoing cpd.

🩶 I am a proud member of the Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors (committed to highest standards of care and professionalism).

🩶 I offer an extremely confidential service. I am known for being very empathetic and trustworthy and can provide references if required.

🩶 I know through my own experiences how strong the human companion animal bond is and how painful pet loss is. Although I am fully aware we all have different experiences too.

🩶 I can help with issues around euthanasia. Including feelings of guilt or uncertainty. I would never advise or tell you what to do but can help provide options for you to choose what is right for you and your pet. I can also attend appointments with you for support if needed.

🩶 I can help with ideas for memorialising and aftercare.

🩶 This can all be done face to face, telephone, video, messaging, emails. You choose your preferred method of communication.

One of the “original four” booked for lunch walkies was sorted as mam could get to them. So it was just Cooper to walk. I was literally on my way and decided to keep Merlot for company for him. Gorgeous walkies with Merlot and Cooper. Well matched again for energy and they had a wonderful time. Wish I had half their energy. And again Cooper was so pleased to see me! Absolutely gorgeous walkies with Merlot and Luna. It was meant to be a fab group of four but my van broke down this morning 😢 and I have borrowed Jason’s car. Can’t put four high energy dogs in the car. They were both so happy to see me. The only job in the world you feel better for going in. They took my mind off the broken van until I lost a tracker back at the car. Silly me it was on Merlot still!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ must have been stressed eh! These two had a great run around! Loved it! Would like to thank all my lovely dog mums today!! I have had to cancel 7 dogs today and borrow Jason’s car. Hate that I live half an hour away from Carlisle where all the dogs are but I got to those who needed it. And the dogs cancelled have very understanding owners and I really appreciated the kind words from everyone. There were tears when the van wouldn’t start! Once I had breakfast (at 12!!!) I calmed down a bit 😉 and all the dogs made me feel loads better. Such a rewarding job seeing all those waggy bums and today there have been a few ###

Everyone meet my newest furry friends! This is Poppy, Bruno and Murphy. I have been walking them this week while Dylan at WalkthiswayCarlisle was on his holibobs. And what a lovely week we all had. All three were super well behaved and trusting of me straight away. They all came for cuddles at different times too. They are so sweet and I love them all. And all their owners are lovely too. It’s been a pleasure to share my walkies with them this week. I hope to see them all again. Thanks so much Murphy, Bruno and Poppy ###
