Good morning everybody I hope you’re all well.

This week I went to see Sue in porthkerry for this beautiful aquariums fortnightly meeting visit.

This aquarium is stunning friendly tropical community. We have built up the livestock through out the course of the last year, gradually adding new fish.

My visit included…

Water testing
Water change 50%
Deep gravel clean
Algae removal

All under the watchful eye of this beautiful girl named Aria (who happens to be one of my cats kittens) it was lovely to see her happy with her new family.

Good morning everybody. Let’s make this a strong motivated Monday !

Last week I visited Ross in Cathays again.

He contacted and for an extra maintenace visit and asked if I could recondition his external filter. This process included.

The addition of some new filter media ✔️
cleaning through the pipework✔️
Cleaning the impeller✔️
50% water change✔️
Water treatment✔️
Addition of new plants that Ross chose✔️

During my visit and I was under the watchful eye of my buddy Reggie I think that he was happy with the results of my visit.

Today was reserved in the diary for a day of admin, not a particularly fun day but we must do what we must !

As if that isn’t hard enough, I had these two gorgeous girls distracting me all day!

Good morning everybody I hope you’re enjoying your week despite the rain ☔️

This week I revisited llanishen to carry on with the transformation of this front garden.

As you can see it was in need of some TLC and needed to be put back on track ready for the spring time !

Some Of the tasks that have been completed on my first two visits are as follows

Deweeding through out garden and patio areas✔️

Earth securely covered with garden membrane to prevent weeds continued growth through out the winter season ✔️

Small tree cut down to roots✔️

Drain cleaned and unblocked and bleached✔️

The whole garden pressure washed to clean up years of built up grime ✔️

New white lines painted to guide around steps in the dark evenings ✔️

Leaves swept and floor area completly cleared to prevent any nasty slips ✔️

Perhaps you have an elderly relative that can’t keep on top of their gardens. Good morning everybody congratulations on making it to the weekend 🎉

Yesterday, I had the privilege to meet Kim and her family they are new customers and they are based in Bridgend.

Kim contacted me and explained that she needed her aquarium deep cleaned and re escaped she also wanted the external filter a fluval 307 cleaned out with some of the filter media replaced such as carbon.

But most importantly, she wanted the water chemistry to be tested as she had lost a few fish over the last couple of weeks.

The visit was booked in and I soon discovered that the nitrate in the water was slightly high so with a 50% water change and the aquarium treated with bacteria we are now back on track.

This is an insight into what was involved after kim Contacted Mikeys Aquatic Services.

Good morning everybody

This week I went to see Sue in porthkerry for our regular maintenance visit.

It’s difficult to gauge the actual size of this aquarium through photographs but trust me when I say to carry out a 50% water change I am emptying water via the python for over almost an hour !

As you can see, I had my little friend keeping an eye on me as normal !

Good morning everybody.

This week I had my regular visit to Lucy the proud owner of this beautiful aquarium.

I think this aquarium is absolutely beautiful and it’s a pleasure to visit and maintain it.

Over the last few months, we have upgraded the heater so that Lucy can read the exact temperature digitally.

The fish are extremely healthy and thriving . I particularly like the mature Angel Fish they never object to having their photo taken!

Good morning everybody

This week I went to visit Ross in Cathays, I first met Ross when he hired my services to move his aquarium to his new home.

I really enjoy maintaining this colourful and fun aquarium that all the family enjoy.

Overtime we have upgraded to fluval sky lighting system and we also run a fluval 207 external filter.

As you can see, the aquarium is in pristine condition and all the fish are extremely healthy.

Good morning everybody

As you all know, I offer services outside od awuatics, included gardening and painting and decorating.

So you may remember that a customer asked me to paint that new room last week.

A lovely warm brown to break up the white and create a cosy warmth.

I was asked to come back and build some furnishing for them and also to install an aquarium, so keep an eye on the page for when I start that part of the project !
