🌟 A little honesty from me today 🌟

I hate to have to post something negative or bring this up, but I think it’s important. I love what I do, caring for dogs, running my business, and building trust with owners. I’ve spent years earning the kind of reviews that show I am kind, considerate, and professional.

But let me be clear: I will never tolerate abusive, condescending, or disrespectful messages. I’ve had clients who demand changes last minute, expect me to bend my schedule around them every single time, or belittle me for having boundaries, and then tell me I’m not kind or compassionate.

I have always gone above and beyond, often outside working hours and without extra charge. I am flexible, understanding, and professional, but I am not a doormat!

Respect goes both ways. If you can’t communicate respectfully, I will not continue working with you. That’s non-negotiable.

Communicate with kindness, or we’re not a fit. 🐾

Moli has just spent a whole week on her holibobs with us — walks, playtime, garden zoomies, belly rubs, and snuggles galore 💕 Now she’s back home and… well, apparently she’s been like this ever since 🤣

A Little Change, for a Lot More Balance 🐶💤

We wanted to share an update on how we’re going to be running boarding here at A Buddy for Hire going forward.

While we’re licensed to have three dogs boarding with us (plus Buddy, of course!), we’ve realised that having a full house all the time has become a bit too much — especially when some guests find it tricky to settle overnight. It can leave everyone in the house a little frazzled, and that’s not fair on the dogs or us.

So, after lots of thought, we’ve decided to:
✨ Limit how many boarders we take on at once — just because we can take three, doesn’t mean we have to.
✨ Block out a few rest days each month where no dogs stay, so we can recharge and keep giving our best.

This isn’t a reflection on any recent dogs — we’ve loved having each and every one of them! But it’s something we’ve been quietly considering for a while, and it feels like the right step to protect our energy, our home, and the high standard of care we want to keep offering.

This does mean spaces will be more limited moving forward, especially during peak times. August 2026 is already nearly full, so if you’re planning time away, do get in touch early to avoid disappointment.

Thank you for your understanding, and for trusting us to care for your lovely dogs — it means the world 🐾💛
