🚨 BANK HOLIDAY NOTICE 🚨

Please be aware that on Monday 31st August, Cardiff Veterinary Centre will be open for emergencies ONLY. 🐾

An emergency consultation fee will apply.

If your pet needs urgent veterinary attention, please don’t hesitate to call us on 02920 023800. 📞

For all routine appointments and enquiries, our normal services will resume after the bank holiday.

Meet Chloe - PCA 👋🏼

Chloe has been working in the veterinary industry for over 2 years and has experience working within charitable veterinary medicine. She holds a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Animal Studies. She is also excited to be starting her Level 3 Veterinary Nursing Diploma in January, taking the next step towards becoming a qualified veterinary nurse. 🩺🐶

Her favourite part of the job is caring for patients during their recovery and working as a kennel nurse. Chloe particularly enjoys providing hands on care, monitoring patients and helping them feel comfortable and settled while they recover. 🐾💕

Chloe is also passionate about learning more about animal behaviour and understanding how a patient’s behaviour, emotions and individual needs can impact their experience and stay in the veterinary hospital. She enjoys learning how to make patients feel as safe, comfortable and relaxed as possible during their time in the clinic. 🐾🧡

Looking ahead, Chloe hopes to complete a certificate in anaesthesia once she qualifies as a veterinary nurse, further developing her knowledge and skills in an area she is particularly passionate about. 🩺✨

Outside of work, Chloe is a huge music lover and enjoys going to festivals and live music events. Her 12 year old Jack Russell, Molly, is her world ❤️. She also loves going on adventures, discovering new places and exploring as much of the world as she can. 🌎✈️

Meet the team - El - RVN 👋🏼

Meet Eleanor, although everyone knows her as El! Born and raised in Cardiff, El has stayed close to home and has been working in veterinary practice for the past 5 years.

El qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse 2 years ago, having previously worked as an Animal Care Assistant and Student Veterinary Nurse. She describes herself as a bit of an all-rounder when it comes to nursing and loves getting involved in all aspects of practice life. 🩺🐶

One of El’s favourite parts of the job is being there to comfort and reassure your fur babies while they’re in practice, whether they’re visiting us for a routine procedure or staying with us as one of our inpatients. ❤️

When she’s not in her scrubs, you’ll usually find El outdoors exploring new places with her Cockapoo, Bella 🐕, or jetting off somewhere new with her family and friends! ✈️🌎

We’re so lucky to have El as part of our team! 💕

Meet the team - Ilona - RVN 👋🏼

Born and raised in Cardiff, Ilona has always had a passion for animals. After graduating from the University of Reading with a BSc in Zoology, she decided she wanted a more hands-on career and went on to train as a Veterinary Nurse.

You may already recognise Ilona from her placement year here at the practice, where she had the opportunity to gain valuable experience and learn from our fantastic team. She qualified as an RVN in June and was delighted to join the team permanently! 💙

Ilona has a particular interest in anaesthesia and enjoys monitoring patients throughout their procedures, ensuring they are comfortable, safe and receive the very best care. She is looking forward to continuing to develop her skills and knowledge in this area.

Outside of work, Ilona loves spending time with her cocker spaniel, Daisy, and her cat, Billie. You’ll usually find her at the gym or out exploring with Daisy. 🐶

And if you’ve visited us with a spaniel, you’ve probably already spotted Ilona! She has a huge soft spot for them and simply can’t resist stopping by to say hello. 🥰🐾
