We are closed on Friday 18th, if you have an emergency and require treatment or advice our phone line will divert to the out of hours service at Valley Vets Hospital in Gwaelod Y Garth.

Repeat Medication 💊
Please ensure if you need repeat medication for your pet you order in plenty of time. With multiple bank holidays approaching we may need more time to fulfil your request especially if we have to order the medication in.

Easter Bank Holiday Opening
We will be closed Friday 18th and Monday 21st April for Easter weekend.
We are open Saturday 19th for emergencies phone line opens at 8.30am.

St. Mellons Road(B4562) between Lisvane and Pontprennau will be closed from 12 midday till 3pm for roadworks today.
Access to Mill Farm and the practice however will be granted.
Please let us know if you have any problems.

Both these handsome lads visited us today, which must have been a disappointment after their exciting day at Crufts on Thursday for the hound group. Mr Borzoi excelled by winning his class and Roger the whippet came 4th in his large class. 👏👏 🏅

With the Christmas and New Year holidays approaching quickly now, can we remind you to check you have enough of any medication required to last over the period.
Some drugs do have to be ordered specially for individual cases, therefore we cannot guarantee that we can provide medication at short notice.
If you think you will need anything before Christmas please let us know today or tomorrow and we should be able to supply this next week.

Update on Valley Vets emergency cover after the terrible flooding at the weekend.
As of this evening 6pm they will be back and fully operational at the hospital site.
They have thanked everyone for their messages of support and understanding over the last few days.

We have received notification that very sadly the out of hours hospital in Gwaelod Y Garth is at risk of flooding this morning. They are still covering the out of hours service and if you call their number 02920001454 they will direct you accordingly.
EDIT NOW CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING.

I’ve got all my (brothers and) sisters with me.
We’ve had a little family neuter session today, here they are all cuddled up after their operations.

Meet marvellous Marvel, he’s been such a brave lad, he’s had a really big operation and throughout he’s been a pleasure. He’s a really happy gentleman and he always lifts our mood whenever he pops in to see us. He gives wonderful kisses with that tongue 👅

Please be aware that Cats Protection have changed the way they provide help with neutering. If you require help with the cost of neutering please get in touch directly with Cats Protection at your nearest centre.
We no longer keep vouchers at the practice.

This lovely lady is in with us today. She has just had a keyhole spay and is already up and about asking for some food! We hope she can keep calm for just a couple of days to allow the tiny wounds to heal, - then Rogue you can go back to running in the fields:-)
