ROAD CLOSURE
UPDATE- BT have informed us road opening again at 1.30

Unfortunately it would appear St.Mellons road has been closed at the Lisvane end preventing access to the Mill Farm site and practice from this side.
We can only apologise as frustratingly we have had no prior waring or information regarding this closure.
We would suggest only attempting to reach the practice from the Pontprennau end of the lane until we can establish that access is open again.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

30/07/2026

If you have an emergency requirement after hours this evening please note that the road from Pentyrch to Valley Vets Hospital is closed due an emergency in the area. Please use the entrance from the A470/Radyr roundabout.
If you do have to drive via the Pentyrch area please be guided by the emergency services in the area.

Appointments:
Could we respectfully request that you try to adhere to your appointment time?
Our waiting room isn’t the largest and therefore if we have a lot of people waiting at once it can become rather full and then some pets can become a little stressed.
Lately we seem to have people turning up very early or quite late, we do understand that traffic can often be troublesome but if you are running late could you please try to call us to check we are still able to fit you in? Our appointments are 15 minute slots and therefore if you are running very late the appointment could run into the next.
We will always try to fit you in if we can.
Thank you for your understanding.

Important Update: Pet Travel to the EU (from 22 April 2026)

We want to make sure all of our clients are aware of an important change to pet travel rules—especially if you’re planning a summer holiday with your pet 🐾

From 22 April 2026, EU Pet Passports issued to or held by a pet owner who is resident in GB will NO LONGER be valid for travel from GB to the EU.

👉 What this means for you:

* Even if your pet has an existing EU passport, if you are resident in GB it cannot be used for travel to the EU.
* You will now need an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) issued by an Official Veterinarian for each trip.

👉 Key points:

* The AHC must be issued within 10 days of travel.
* It is valid for:
* Entry into the EU
* Onward travel within the EU for up to 4 months
* Return to GB
* There are no changes for re-entry into the UK.

⚠️ If you already have a holiday booked, please plan ahead—appointments for AHCs are time-sensitive and will be in high demand.

📞 If you need advice or want to book an appointment, please contact us and we’ll guide you through the process.

We’ll continue to update you as more guidance becomes available.
