🐧 HELP US NAME OUR PENGUIN CHICKS! 🐧

Our two penguin chicks, who hatched earlier this spring, are thriving and are now spending more and more time out and about! 💕 So, we think it’s finally time they had names…

And judging by this very serious side-eye, one of them clearly wants to make sure you take this decision very seriously 🤭

🐵❤️ The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here… Jane is back with her chimpanzee family!

Six months ago, Jane was rejected by her mum Tara! Jane needed around-the-clock care to survive. Since then, every bottle feed, every training session and every milestone has been working towards one goal, getting Jane back where she belongs.

In the final episode of this chapter of Jane’s story, follow the emotional reintroduction process as Jane meets her chimpanzee family one by one, beginning with Georgia, who we hoped would take on the incredibly important role of surrogate mother.

After six months of hard work, nerves, difficult decisions and plenty of emotion, it’s finally time to find out how it all came together. ❤️

We’re so excited to welcome Chase and Skye to Wingham Wildlife Park on 17th August 🐾

The pair from PAW Patrol will be appearing at regular intervals between 11:00-15:30 so there will be lots of opportunities to meet them and snap a photo.

There will also be mesmerising bubble performances for you to enjoy throughout the day too!

It’s going to be an incredible day of family fun and these events are all included in your memberships and day ticket admissions.

🚨 BREAK-INS & TRESPASSING AT SANDWICH WILDLIFE PARK 🚨

We are asking for your help following multiple break-ins and incidents of trespassing at our sister site, Sandwich Wildlife Park, over recent weeks.

Although the site is currently closed and no animals remain there, it IS NOT an abandoned site. The land and buildings remain owned by Wingham Wildlife Park, and trespassing and criminal damage are illegal.

Sadly, the site has been repeatedly targeted, with damage caused to doors and other parts of the property, as well as the theft of equipment, fixtures and fittings.

📹 The site is actively monitored by CCTV, and footage of these incidents, including the people involved and the damage being caused, is being shared with Kent Police.

The impact of these repeated break-ins goes beyond the cost of the damage. Our maintenance team are currently having to divert valuable time away from working on the next stage of our expansion at Wingham Wildlife Park in order to travel to Sandwich and repair damage caused by trespassers.

The images and footage in this post show just some of what has happened, including incidents as recently as last night.

👉 If you recognise anyone pictured or have any information that could help identify those involved, please contact Kent Police or get in touch with us directly.

Please do not approach anyone you recognise yourself. Instead, pass the information on to the appropriate authorities.
