New Hope Animal Rescue An Independent non-destruct rescue dedicated to helping the animals most in need. We also give sanctuary to rescued horses and rescued farmed animals and fowl.

New Hope Animal Rescue is an independent, non-destruct animal rescue and Sanctuary. New Hope is dedicated to helping animals on facing euthanasia or in immediate danger and those with either medical needs or behavioural problems that make them difficult to place. We aim to help as many animals and in particular those that have been turned away elsewhere. Since the sale of the kennel site we were r

enting we now have just the one site. which is our Sanctuary site in Herne Bay, Kent. Our Sanctuary site looks after about four hundreds animals at a time ranging from dogs, cats and small domestics to cows, sheep, pigs and horses. We occasionally rehome those that we consider rehomeable, but often act as the middle man between immediate danger and rescue spaces. We work alongside a vast pool of other rescue organisations to make safe as many as we can. New Hope has no paid staff, including its Founders who work full time to cover as much cost as possible. We are always in need of donations to cover a vast array of expenses that are incurred including feed and bedding, enormous vets bills, kennel bills and fuel costs for transporting. The team at Spirits Rest Dartford Horse & Animal Sanctuary were approached about this poor chap and reached out to us to find a safe and reputable option for him.
He’s had a rough ride and there’s a sad story attached, he’s not a simple starvation case but obviously what’s happened to him has left him emaciated. He’s a lovely boy and really needed a helping hand. Thanks too to a wonderful offer from a driver.
Thanks to our amazing network and a very particularly helpful rescuer we work with he is now safely placed and can look forward to a bright future ♥️

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND ONLY MESSAGE IF YOU FEEL YOU MEET THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW.

Our very special Jack is finally nearly ready for his new home. He is a wonderful boy and is four years old.

Those who know his story know he has had a traumatic time but he remains a loving and honest lad. He really will make the right person a great best friend.

He’s a great lad and bonds quickly, he meets new people very well. He walks relatively well but does need some continued lead work and training. He is not overly comfortable with other dogs but is getting better, he’s not aggressive just worried.

He will be neutered before he leaves us and all other vet work will be upto date.

⚫️You must be within two hours of Canterbury, we will only consider further afield if we know you or you have a connection with one of our trusted network.
⚫️You must be prepared to come and spend time with Jack on several occasions, he’s going to need to get to know you and feel safe.
⚫️You’ll need an adult only household, although we would consider a home with the right teenagers. No other pets.
⚫️You must have good dog experience, some Shepherd experience would be good.
⚫️ Jack will be rehomed subject to home check and contracts

We’ve just managed to place these two from last weeks pound list into a wonderful rescue we work with. They are from two different Local Authorities. The fawn girl is so nervous, she had just totally shut down. Their little lives are about to get a lot better, knowing they have a bright future makes how sad they can be bearable 🐾
