🌞🐾 Keeping Your Dog Safe in a Heatwave 🐾🌞
With the temperatures soaring, our four-legged friends need a little extra care to keep cool and comfortable. Dogs can overheat quickly, so prevention is key.
Top Tips for Hot Days:
💧 Hydration is everything – Make sure fresh, cool water is available at all times, indoors and out.
🌳 Shady spots – Create or find shaded areas for your dog to rest away from the sun.
🕒 Walk early or late – Avoid midday heat; walk in the cooler hours of the morning or evening. If it’s too hot don’t go out!
🚗 Never leave dogs in cars – Even for “just a minute” – cars heat up fast and can be deadly.
🧊 Cool treats – Try ice cubes, frozen fruit (safe for dogs), or a damp towel for them to lie on.
🐾 Paw check – If the ground is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.
