If your home is decorated for the holiday cheer, it’s important to keep your pets in mind.

Are your furry friends safe from these common dangers?

🎄 Pine Needles can cut your pet’s mouth. Vacuum often!
➰ Tinsel can cause blockages in your pet’s intestines. Keep it out of reach!
🔮 Glass baubles can break and cut your pet. Try using sturdier alternatives!
🍪 Salt dough ornaments can be mistaken for cookies or treats, but are toxic when eaten. Keep out of reach!
💡 Fairy lights have easy-to-chew electrical cords. Tape them down!
🌲 An unsecure tree can be quite dangerous, especially if your pet knocks it over. Ensure the tree is properly weighted down.

💛🐾 We need your donations! 🐾💛

As the festive period begins, it’s important to remember those who cannot afford the luxury of basic necessities this winter. With the rising cost of living- animal shelters are busier than ever- and they rely on the generosity of the public to help them cope with increased demand.

This winter, we’re supporting Bandeath Stray Dogs Centre, Greyhound Rescue Fife and Cat’s Whiskers in Alva. These are locally run, independent services (much like ourselves!)

💛💫 Our Pet Health Plan isn't just for new clients, existing clients can also benefit from signing up too!

The plan includes annual core vaccinations for dogs, cats and rabbits along with year round parasite control for dogs and cats, a 6 month Healthy Pet Consult and One Free Basic Urine Screen.

In addition, there are 10% discounts off kennel cough vaccinations, rabies vaccinations, dental scale & polish and routine neutering.

It spreads the cost over the year in 12 monthly Direct Debit payments and supplies these services and products to you at a discounted rate. First payment is taken by the practice.

As many of you will already know, work is due to commence on Riverside's new cycle lanes.
The closure of Abbey Road and Millar Place from Thursday 27th November will bring with it some disruption to how local businesses operate (ourselves included)

Clients will no long be able to access via Shore Rd and will need to take an alternative route from Forth Street. When entering Riverside from the bridge please take the first left and follow the diverted signs past the bowling.

As parking will be suspended on Forth Crescent, we are encouraging clients to park in the surrounding streets and walk to the practice. We understand that this may be an inconvienence but we are recommending that people leave early for their appointments to factor in any parking or road complications.

If you have any problems or concerns about any of the information given then please let us know and will endevour to liase with the council and workers to find a solution.

Is your information up-to-date?

Recently, we've been checking our records to ensure that our active clients are receiving the correct outflow necessary to their pet's needs.

To help us with this we're asking you to phone the branch and confirm your contact details with the reception team. This enables them to reach you in cases of appointments, medications and sending out estimates.
It also helps the clincal team to report any lab testing results or to respond to any enquieres you may have regarding your pets health and wellbeing.

It only takes a few minutes so if you recieve a call or email asking you to confirm the contents of your pets file then please ensure the provided information is correct and treat the member of staff with respect.
