We would like to share a heartfelt thank you and deepest gratitude to the family of one of our long-standing supporters, Dean Bolton MBE, who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Dean adopted Kie, a beautiful Belgian Malinois, approximately 10 years ago, who became an adored family dog. Over the years, Dean continued to be part of the Jerry Green Dog Rescue community as a generous monthly giver, as well as through corporate donations and fundraising.

Dean’s family has made a donation of £1,000 – a generous gift in memory of Dean’s love for rescue dogs and his connection with the work we do. This tribute will help us continue to find safe, loving homes for dogs in need.

Thank you from everyone at Jerry Green Dog Rescue for making a lasting impact on the dogs in our care. 💚

If you would like to make a donation in memory of a friend, family member, or loved one, head to our website via the link in the comments to find out more information.

Hi everyone! We're Bubbles and Wotsit, a bonded pair of Pomeranians looking for a special forever home together. 💚

I'm Wotsit, and I need a patient, gentle home where I can settle at my own pace. I can be a very worried little man, and I might not be ready to leave the house for quite some time. I'd love to find a peaceful, adult-only home with my friend Bubbles where we can celebrate my small wins along the way.

I'm Bubbles, and I'm much more outgoing and ready to make friends once I feel safe. I'm super sweet, affectionate, and can't wait to be your favourite little shadow. We'll both need support settling into our new home, but we promise to make the best little companions in return. 🐾

We'll need a home where we can continue our training and settle into a routine. We're looking for a cosy, quiet and predictable life, with a secure garden to potter around in safely. We'll also be the only pets in our perfect forever home, and our family would be around most of the time to give us all the love we truly deserve.

If you think you can offer two little dogs the safety and loving forever home we've been waiting for, please apply to adopt us on our profile. Link in comments🐶

When Laurynas started volunteering at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, he was searching for somewhere to feel grounded again; what he found was community, a sense of purpose, and a way to make a real difference.

Laurynas has become a dedicated and versatile volunteer, happily lending a hand wherever it is needed most. From caring for dogs at our centre to taking on fundraising challenges, Laurynas’ has embraced every opportunity that’s come his way – even stepping into the Rusty mascot costume in the height of summer!

In the last year and a half, Laurynas’ confidence has flourished, but what stands out the most to him are the connections he’s made along the way.

“Most of us have hard exteriors, but with love and little patience, getting to know the people who choose this life hits different,” he shared.

Laurynas’ story is a wonderful reminder that volunteering doesn’t just change the lives of dogs – it can change your life too.

Thank you for everything you do, Laurynas. 💚

Hello, Bruno here! 🐾

I'm a handsome 6-year-old Dachshund looking for my forever home with a calm, adult-only family who can be patient in building a strong bond with me.

Once I've chosen you as my people, there'll be no end to my affection. Making new friends takes a little time, but with lots of tasty treats I'm sure we'll get along just fine! I'd like my family to be home most of the time at first so I can feel truly safe and settled. 💚

I love exploring and making dog pals out and about. I could potentially live with another dog as long as we get along first. A secure garden where we can potter and play together would make me so happy too!

If you think we could be the perfect match, I'd love to meet you! Apply to adopt me via my profile on the website and let's begin our adventures together - link in comments. 🐶

60 Miles in May is complete! 💚

We can’t believe how quick the past month has gone, but we have loved every second of this year’s 60 Miles in May challenge.

Our incredible fundraisers have really pushed themselves as they ticked off the miles to raise vital funds for dogs in need. We are so extremely grateful for the generosity and dedication of those who took part in the challenge, as well as our incredible community of dog lovers who have supported them.

We are busy totaling the final amount raised in this year's challenge, but what we do know is that a lasting impact has been made to the dogs in our care.

Thank you once again to our fabulous fundraisers for helping us to help so many dogs in need. 🐾

Hi friends! I'm George, an 11-year-old Golden Retriever looking for a loving retirement home. 💚

I may be an older gent but I still have so much love to give. I do have a few aches and pains, but I'm managing well and enjoying soaking up life at a slower pace.

I'm looking for a calm home where I can enjoy the peace and quiet with my favourite humans by my side. I'd feel most comfortable as the only pet in my new home, but I could potentially have some walking friends out and about. 🐾

A secure garden where I can wander around to enjoy the fresh air would be my absolute dream! I'd be happy to share my home with calm, dog-savvy children over 11+ years, as I adore company almost as I adore food!

If I sound like the fluffy, loyal, and loving lad you've been searching for - I'd love to meet you! Apply to adopt me via my profile on the website - link in comments below. 🐶

It’s Volunteers’ Week! 🌟

We’re so excited to celebrate all the incredible volunteers who make Jerry Green Dog Rescue such a special organisation.

Whether it’s caring for our dogs, supporting in our shops, or helping behind the scenes at our centres, every hour given change’s a dog’s life for the better – helping to find the safe, loving forever homes they deserve.

Over the next week, we’ll be sharing inspiring volunteer stories, saying thank you, and highlighting the real impact their dedication has every single day.

From all of us, thank you for everything you do. We simply couldn’t do it without you. 💚

When Blossom arrived at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, she was suffering from a painful chest infection called Kennel Cough. And Cherry Eye, which causes her tear glands to be extremely swollen in both of her eyes.

Donations fund surgery to treat Cherry eye - and if all goes well, dogs like Blossom will be able to see their puppies clearly.

Caring for dogs like Blossom is only possible with generous donations. That’s why we’re asking you to join us in fighting for abandoned, neglected, and mistreated dogs.

By donating today, you will be helping dogs like Blossom get their Safe Second Chance.

We invite you to give what you feel comfortable with. We know that a smaller gift does not mean you support dogs like Blossom any less.

All donations matter, and every penny counts. Thank you. 💚

PS. We know many of you have been asking about Blossom and her puppies, and we’re pleased to let you know that we’ll have news to share very soon. Keep an eye out for updates coming soon!

Percy was under a year old when he found himself alone in a pound – confused, overwhelmed and unsure of the world around him.

When he arrived at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, the team had very little history to go on. But after spending time getting to know him, it became clear that Percy was simply full of beans; a bright, bouncy young Spaniel excited by everything life had to offer.

His uncertain start in life had left him with some anxieties. Percy could be nervous in unfamiliar places, walked erratically on lead, and was reluctant to travel in the van. With patience, understanding and expert support, he slowly began to grow in confidence.

Before long, it was time to start searching for his perfect match – and he soon found a forever family who completely fell in love with his cheeky personality.

Now settled into his new home, Percy is thriving and keeping his family very busy with his adventurous spirit. His adopters shared:

“He’s doing really well - still an absolute bundle of energy, but he’s really coming along. We’re getting ready for our first camping trip soon, so we’re very excited about that!”

Life is already full of exciting new experiences for Percy, including his first coffee shop visit, adventures at the dog park, and lots of training to help him continue building confidence.

After a difficult beginning, Percy is now living the happy life every rescue dog deserves – and we couldn’t be more delighted for him. 💚🐾
