Dogs can struggle to regulate their body temperature, making them much more vulnerable to heatstroke than we are. Even travelling in a car, walking on hot pavements, or spending time in a warm grooming salon can become dangerous when temperatures reach the high 30s.
The safety and wellbeing of every dog in my care will always come first, which is why I’ve made the difficult decision to reschedule appointments during the hottest part of this heatwave.
Thank you all for your understanding and support. Please keep your pups cool, ensure they have plenty of fresh water, avoid walks during the hottest part of the day, and remember that if the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws. ❤️🐶
