As we celebrate six months since opening our doors in Middleton Cheney, we’re feeling incredibly proud and grateful. ✨

Being back in independent practice has allowed the team to focus on what matters most — doing what’s best for the animals in our care. The new surgery has proven to be everything we hoped for: spacious, well-equipped, and designed with calm and comfort in mind. It’s a fantastic place for our team to work, and a much more relaxing environment for pets and their humans.

Reflecting on the journey so far, Lorna shares:
“The feedback from clients has been wonderful. They love the new surgery and seeing the familiar faces they trust. From my perspective, it's just so rewarding to see the team thriving again.”

🐾 Attention Dobermann Owners – Cardiac Screening Opportunity 🫀

We’re pleased to share that David Moore from Taylor Vets Middleton will be on site to assist at the South East of England Dobermann Club (SEEDC) Cardiac Biomarker Clinic, taking place during their Championship Show on Sunday, 10th August at Brackley Leisure Centre (NN13 6JJ).

The clinic offers Troponin I and ProBNP testing for Dobermanns at £100 per dog — a valuable screening tool in the early detection of Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM), a condition Dobermanns are unfortunately at higher risk of developing.

Early detection, even before clinical signs appear, can make a real difference in managing the condition and supporting long-term health.

SEEDC recommends:
• Annual cardiac biomarker testing from age 2
• Annual 24-hour Holter monitoring

For those interested, SEEDC also offers Holter Monitor hire for at-home 24-hour ECG recording, making it easier for owners to monitor heart health consistently and affordably.

A young male kitten found – black with white feet, chest, and a stripe on his nose. Very friendly and clearly used to being handled. Not microchipped, and estimated to be no more than 8–10 weeks old. Healthy and well cared for.
