Easterleigh Animal Sanctuary Official This is the official page of Easterleigh Animal Sanctuary, a charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of animals in need.

Registered Charity Number 1176549 Easterleigh Animal Sanctuary is a charity based in the north-west of England, dedicated to the rescue, care, rehabilitation and re-homing of animals. We officially became a charity in 1998, and since then have rescued and re-homed many thousands of animals, from dogs and cats to pigs and parrots. Easterleigh unfortunately lost their site in March of 2016, and are

currently striving to raise the funds to buy a new premises to ensure we can continue our work for many, many years to come. Currently our animals are being housed at various local kennels and stables, and we are very grateful for the help and hospitality of the owners of these establishments. We continue to care for our animals, and are re-homing our dogs via our regular procedure. Please help in any way you can in our cause of building a new Easterleigh Animal Sanctuary to provide a safe haven for animals in need for many years to come.

Our baby Pygmy goats have been gifted to us from a small holding in order for us to be able to provide a great home for them. As well as enhancing our ability to provide excellent work experience training placements for university, college and school students.

Our long term plan is to lovingly train our goats in order for them to be calm and comfortable in various social settings. So that we can train them to be certified therapy goats. This will enable us to pay life enhancing visits to care homes, hospitals, hospices, etc

We also intend to include them as part of our animals husbandry programme where we educate children and adults on animal care and welfare

For full transparency EAS managers made a donation from their own private money to the goats owners to cover their costs incurred in the first 14 weeks of life (no EAS money was used)

We will be holding open days on Sunday the 9th and Sunday the 16th August so please come along to meet our animals
