⭐️Your dog isn’t being “difficult” – they may be having a difficult time.
⭐️Your dog isn’t being a pain – they may actually be in pain.

❌️And they’re definitely not plotting to take over the world by “giving you a hard time.”
👉 More often, they’re simply having a hard time.

Every bark, lunge, growl, or freeze is your dog’s way of saying something. Instead of asking “How do I stop this?” try asking “What is my dog trying to tell me?”

When we shift from blame to curiosity, we move from frustration to understanding.
That’s where relief, progress, and real connection begin. 🐾💙

Biddy 🐾 has finished her training package and she is coming on leaps and bounds. Her owner now has a range of tools, tips, tricks, and knowledge to help Biddy around her triggers, she now understands her ,and has a beautiful relationship.
Practice makes progress 👏

In today’s session, she calmly walked past numerous bikes, children’s scooters, mobility scooters without a single problem.
She also managed to sit and focus on her owner while one of her real triggers, which is a frenchie, was close by.

Huge well done and keep up the good work

Dog training is a wonderful journey, learning so much about each other, building relationship, fun, however some days are tough.
Staying calm, consistent and present, and you will begin to see wonderful things happen with your dog.

Hands in the Clay

Learning pottery has reminded me so much of working with dogs — and of learning in general.

At the wheel, the clay doesn’t instantly become what you imagine. It wobbles, it shifts, sometimes it collapses. You breathe, re-center, and try again. Little by little, with patience and presence, a form begins to emerge.

Dog training is just the same. It’s not about instant perfection — it’s about process.

Centering: finding calm and steadiness before you begin.

Opening: creating space for choice, compassion, and connection.

Shaping: guiding gently, with steady hands and patience.

Like clay, dogs don’t know what vision we have for them.
They didn’t sign up to be molded into our idea of “good.”
But with kindness, skill, and time, we can create something far richer — a relationship built on trust, confidence, and understanding.

The artistry isn’t in forcing a finished product.
It’s in the process, the partnership, and the joy of shaping something together.

Great easy enrichment idea and tapping into a dogs desire to shred and dig which is a natural behaviour, and much more appropriate than the furniture 🙌
