Hi, my name is Marcia, owner of Dapper Dogs! I am a 1-1 qualified dog groomer with a City and Guilds Level 2 qualification and I am currently studying for my Level 3. I completed my training at Canis Finest Dog Grooming, a Pet Industry Federation approved training centre in Witney, Oxfordshire. I spent many years working in the corporate world and then had the opportunity to have a change of caree
r, so with a love of dogs I decided to train to be a dog groomer, which I love! I have had a love of animals since being a child, mainly due to the various dogs that my parents rescued when I was growing up, they were all sizes, mix breeds and temperaments so I'm used to handling all types of dogs! When I had a family of my own my first dog was a liver and white English Springer Spaniel called Jasper, who was the heart of my family for 13 and a half years. I now have an English Cocker Spaniel called Mabel who is 4 years old. Mabel is reactive and anxious in most areas of her life, so owning an anxious dog has given me the understanding of how to handle them with a lot of patience, understanding and knowledge of how to create a calm and safe environment for them in an unfamiliar situation.
