We are a mainly small animal veterinary practice on the edge of Bedford. We have a team of 13 vets, 18 nurses, 11 Customer Care Advisors and 5 Administrators. Our aim is to provide the best possible veterinary care for your pets in a friendly environment. We have a substantial, purpose built, air conditioned modern building with ample car parking space. Our waiting room is large and easily accessi

ble for disabled clients. There are four separate consulting rooms. The building is protected by CCTV, an intruder and fire alarm. If you would like to register at our practice please phone or call in. CONSULTATIONS ARE AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY AND SATURDAY MORNINGS

🥒🐹 Keeping Cool the Guinea Pig Way! 🐹🥒

During the recent hot weather, we've all been finding inventive ways to help our pets stay cool and hydrated—and Pumpkin, Mallow and Gus the guinea pigs had a very tasty solution... cucumber bobbing! 💚

Mallow got the hang of it straight away, closely followed by Pumpkin. Gus, however, found that his wonderfully p***y facial hair made things a little more challenging... but he got there in the end! 😂🥒

Small amounts of cucumber can be a refreshing treat during warm weather and can help with hydration. However, it should only be fed in moderation, as too much can lead to tummy upsets. Hay should always remain the main part of a guinea pig's diet. 🌿

🦔🌿 Wildlife Wednesday! 🌿🦔

This is one of three adorable little hoglets that were brought into us after being found out in the middle of the day during the recent hot weather. ☀️

Young hedgehogs that are active during the day can sometimes be a sign that they need a helping hand, particularly during periods of extreme heat. After being assessed and receiving the care they needed, we're delighted to say they have now been successfully re-released into a safe area. 💚

A huge thank you to the kind member of the public who stopped to help these little ones. 🥰

If you ever find a hedgehog that appears injured, weak, or struggling, please contact your local veterinary practice or a wildlife rescue for advice before intervening.

👀🐶 Keeping an Eye on Dexter! 🐶👀

This handsome boy is Dexter, who came to see vet Sarah after his owner noticed some slight discharge from his eyes.

We remember Dexter visiting us as a puppy around six months ago, so it's been lovely to see him grow into such a handsome and excitable young chap! 💙🐾

After his examination, Dexter went home with some medication and we're hoping he'll be feeling much more comfortable very soon. 🩺💕

If you notice any changes to your pet's eyes, such as redness, discharge, squinting or cloudiness, it's always best to have them checked by a vet as soon as possible so that any necessary treatment can be started promptly.

🐾🐱 Double the Kittens, Double the Cuteness! 🐱🐾

Meet Nyx and Nox, two beautiful three-month-old sisters who came to see vet Remi for their first vaccinations. 💉💕

As you can see, they received plenty of fuss and attention from the team during their visit! 🥰

Kitten vaccinations help protect against serious diseases, including cat flu and feline leukaemia. Nyx and Nox have now had the first injection in their vaccination course and will be back in 3–4 weeks for their second vaccination. After that, we'll look forward to seeing them each year for their annual booster vaccinations to help keep them protected. 🩺🐾

We can't wait to watch these gorgeous girls grow up! 💙
