The Country Fair is one of England's most spectacular annual outdoor events, held in Chatsworth park, and it attracts large crowds from all over the country. Massed pipe and military bands, demonstrations and parades, hot air balloons, parachuting and over 300 varied trade stands and rural crafts make this a memorable event with something for everyone.

We're thrilled to announce that Harriet Cowan is our 2025 Country Fair President!

Harriet is from Derbyshire and is best known for her standout role stepping in as Jeremy Clarkson’s farm hand on Clarkson’s Farm Series, she has quickly become one of the most exciting new voices in British farming. Harriet gained national attention for her expertise, quick wit, and genuine passion for agriculture. Harriet has cultivated a rapidly growing online community across platforms like TikTok and Instagram, where she shares authentic and engaging insights into rural life, farming challenges, and the realities of modern agriculture.

We can't wait to welcome Harriet as our president for the first time, and to also welcome visitors back in a few weeks time for another fantastic Country Fair.

We’re proud to announce that the country fair has won a gold award at the 2025 Peak District, Derbyshire & Derby Tourism Awards! We came first in the brand new ‘Festival of the Year’ category, the only category decided by public vote.

Congratulations to everyone who was nominated, thank you to Visit Peak District & Derbyshire, and an especially huge thank you to all those who voted for us and everyone who visits each year and makes the fair so enjoyable.
