A reminder to all residents that bagged dog waste can be placed in any council litter bin, it does not need to go in a designated dog waste bin only.
Unfortunately, we are continuing to see a small number of bagged dog fouling bags being left in trees, hedges, or beside bins. This is littering and creates an unpleasant environment for everyone.
If you bag it and find that a dog waste bin is temporarily full, please dispose of it responsibly using any available litter bin, or take it home with you and pop it in your wheelie bin if no bin is nearby.
There is also no excuse for failing to pick up after your dog, and we are increasing dog fouling patrols throughout the borough to help tackle the issue, if caught, you will receive a £100 fixed penalty notice.
Thank you to the vast majority of dog owners who help keep our borough clean and enjoyable for all, please look out for our new responsible dog walker scheme coming soon.
