Just a little reminder that we groom cats too and whether your cat is long or short haired, regular professional grooming makes more of a difference than you might think!

Long haired cats in particular can mat quickly around the legs, belly and behind the ears and once matting takes hold it can become uncomfortable and really difficult to manage at home.

Short haired cats need it less often, but still benefit from a professional bath, brush out and nail clip every couple of months. It’s also a great opportunity to check the skin and coat for anything that might need attention.

For both, regular grooming helps with shedding, reduces hairballs and keeps their coat in good condition heading into the seasonal changes spring brings.

If you’ve ever Googled ‘how often should I groom my dog’ and got a different answer every time, then this might help!

In reality, it really does vary. A Cockapoo and a French Bulldog have very different needs and even within breeds, coat condition, lifestyle and age all play a part.

Swipe through for a general guide by coat type and with shedding season just starting to kick in here in the UK, it’s a good time to check your dog isn’t overdue.
