The disappearing dog groomer 👀

Right… So apparently I’m not very good at this social media malarkey 😅

Whilst I’ve been neglecting the feed, I haven’t been sat around eating biscuits and doing absolutely nothing… Although there may have been some biscuits involved. 👀🍪

Behind the scenes, Mabel’s Corner has been BUSY BUSY BUSY! ✂️🐶

So I’m officially crawling out from under my pile of fur and promise to try to get back to sharing all the gorgeous faces that have been keeping me so bus…

I swear he grows a whole new dog every 4 weeks…

This handsome lad comes to see me every 4 weeks for his regular groom, and I still stand there thinking, “Where does it all come from?!” 🤯 Just look at that mountain of fluff!

The best part? Because he’s groomed regularly, his coat stays healthy, comfortable and mat-free. Regular deshedding helps remove all that loose undercoat before it ends up all over your house (or your black clothes! 🙈), keeps air flowing through the coat, and is so much kinder on your dog’s skin.

Keeping on top of deshedding means shorter appointments, a happier pup, and a coat that’s always looking its best.

And I obviously have to show him with his prize for being such a good boy 😂 💛

Join us on Sunday 2nd August for the very first Lead & Learn Dog Social – a relaxed morning designed to bring together dogs, their owners, and some fantastic local dog businesses.

Whether you’re looking to meet fellow dog owners, let your dog enjoy positive social interactions, ask training questions, or simply enjoy a morning out with your best friend, we’d love to see you there.

Just look at this little love! 💛

At just 7 months old, he came in for his first big boy groom and absolutely smashed it. From start to finish, he was the best boy and handled everything like a pro. 🐾

This transformation is the perfect example of how regular brushing at home and starting with introductory puppy grooms can make such a huge difference. Building confidence, creating positive experiences, and getting them used to the grooming process early sets them up for success as they grow.

We couldn’t be prouder of this handsome young man and how well he did today! 🥰

Meet Teddy… the determined little chap who absolutely did not want to part with his fur today! 🐾😂

Every time we removed a pile of fluff, Teddy seemed convinced it still belonged to him. He spent the whole appointment carefully collecting his fur, keeping a watchful eye on where it was going, and generally making it very clear that he wasn’t ready to let it leave the building! 🤣

There was negotiating, there was wriggling, and there were plenty of suspicious looks whenever the brush came out, but Teddy’s personality had us smiling from start to finish. ❤️

After all his efforts to save every last tuft, he eventually accepted defeat and left looking incredibly smart, fresh, and ready to show off his new look. ✂️✨

🐾 We’ve had some real beauties through the salon lately… and honestly, there have been far too many to mention! 😍

Fluffy, scruffy, tiny, giant, cheeky, angelic and a few who definitely kept us on our toes 👀 We’ve loved every single one of them.

There’s nothing better than seeing those tails wagging, those fresh trims, and the proud struts out of the door like they own the place.

If your furry friend is starting to resemble a well-loved mop, it might be time for a visit! 😉

Why stand still for the dryer when you can spin in circles chasing your own fur instead? 😂🐾

Some dogs see grooming time as a spa day… others see it as an extreme sport. Safe to say this ones mission was: catch every floating fluff before the dryer does.

Honestly though, the chaos is half the fun 🤍✨

Sully falling asleep mid groom will never not be my favourite part of the job 🥹🤍

The little snores, the heavy head, the complete trust… This is why I do what I do. Grooming isn’t always about perfect photos and fluffy after shots; sometimes it’s this. A sleepy boy who feels safe enough to drift off on the table while I work.

Honestly, if Sully could book himself in for a nap every 6 weeks, he probably would 🐾✨
