FOUND CAT

Found cat on Evegate business park
White and black entire male, no microchip. Aged between 6 months to 1 year of age

It's not just pets that need to see the vet! Sometimes we provide emergency care to wild animals like this very sweet fallow deer fawn that came in last Saturday.

Found with it's leg caught in a fence and infested with flies, he was brought straight down to us. Vet Alex and nurse Leonie gave him medicine for the discomfort and to treat the flies. He was then sedated for an x-ray which fortunately confirmed that his leg was not broken. After a bottle feed from vet Caroline he was transferred to a wildlife rehabilitation centre.

We've since heard back from the wildlife centre and he is still recovering very well and has become a naughty deer! Hopefully if he continues to recover this well he will be released back to the wild.

If you find a wild deer that you believe may need veterinary help please contact your vets or local wildlife rescue. And if you find an unattended fawn please do not attempt to rescue it as their mother is likely nearby; instead please contact your local rescue centre.
