Derbyshire Cat Centre Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs.

Derby Adoption Centre is the largest purpose built cat centre in this area and was opened in 1998, with 121 pens to house approximately 150 cats and kittens. Since then we have had the much needed addition of our cat cottage and more recently an annex with 15 extra pens. We can now potentially have in residence up to 240 cats and kittens at any one time, unfortunately there are usually just as many waiting to come into us to find new homes.

7 month old Looby Lou is a dinky lady who is very outgoing and loves to say hello to everyone she meets!

She came from a multicat household so has experience of living with other cats.

She does have pre-existing wound on her front left paw which we believe to be from a cat bite so shouldn’t be any cause for concern.

Not sisters by blood but sisters by heart 💕

Golden oldies Jasmine and Layla are looking for a cosy retirement home and a human servant to tend to their every need. They are sweet, gentle souls who like to snooze the day away side by side (Jasmine normally nabs the heat pad!).

They love a fuss and go mad for catnip…because you’re never too old for catnip! Whilst they have only ever lived indoors, they do enjoy sitting out on their shelf at the centre watching the world go by, so may appreciate a little sun patch in a secure garden?

Jasmine is 17 years old and Layla is 15 years old. As expected at this age they both have a few ailments but nothing that requires medication at this stage.

MAMA APPRECIATION POST!! 👑

We have four gorgeous girlies who have all raised their babies and are ready to start living their own lives! We don’t know if it was their first litters but we do know it will be their last 🎉

Crinkle & Peach are love bugs who lap up all the attention they can get. Mayfair & Fluffy are our independent ladies who enjoy a fuss but will let you know when they’ve had enough.

All are 2 years old with the exception of Peach, who is 1 year old.

We are so excited for our very first indoor car boot event. Join us on Friday 12th June from 7.30am at the William Gregg VC Leisure Centre in Heanor.

Visitor entry is just £1 per person and this will all come directly to our Centre, supporting local cats and kittens. If you would like to sell, not to brag but we are offering the cheapest seller prices at just £5 if you bring your own table with you. Absolute bargain!

Beautiful Bo is a senior lady looking for a new home after her previous owners moved and couldn’t take her.

She has spent the majority of her life living outside, however, since being with us she loves to be snuggled up inside of her igloo bed.

She doesn’t voluntarily show her face during the day but if you go and spend time with her she is a very sweet, gentle soul who loves a fuss.

She has had a dental whilst in our care.

Amazing Gracie was found straying in a garden before coming into the centre. This 5 year old girl loves to have some fuss and attention.

Gracie does have scarring to her eye surface which she is on eye cream for twice a day. This will need to be monitored and may be a long term treatment.

We have received a very kind donation in loving memory of the beautiful Sweet Pea 🖤

After being found in a cat carrier at a recycling centre, she “had a marvelous couple of years, and lived a life of luxury and absolute love”.

Thank you for giving Sweet Pea her forever home surrounded by love and for helping other cats in her memory 🌈🖤
