It’s grass seed season.

If you walk through fields and long grass please check between your dogs toes for grass seeds.

They can lodge in deep and start to embed themselves into the skin, migrating up and causing bad infections.

This is one I removed recently, you can see how well hidden it is in all the hair and actually how big it is compared to the tip of my finger.

Is summer here?! Please follow guidelines for keeping your dog safe in the heat.

If you have a grooming appointment keep your dog as cool as possible before coming to the appointment. Ensure they have been to the toilet but no exercise immediately before.

If you are travelling by car and have air conditioning, get this running and the car cooled down before putting the dog in.

If you are walking and are worried about the heat please contact me to see if we can reschedule for an earlier or later appointment when it is cooler.

This applies to existing bookings.

Grooms are individually priced based on dogsize, coat type, frequency and styling requirements.

Important Reminder For All Clients - Ashbourne Reborn Project

The St John Street road closure started today, with some diversions using Cockayne Avenue and The Green Road. I expect this will cause congestion and delays, especially around school run time and school holidays when we get busy with tourists.

Please can I ask that you take this into consideration and do everything in your power to be on time for drop off and collection. If you do get caught up in the traffic please let me know as soon as possible so I can plan for a shorter groom time or reschedule your appointment if need be.

I am a 1 to 1 groomer, which means I only groom one dog, or multiple dogs from the same family, at a time. I don't have any crates, kennels or separate waiting areas for other dogs and appointments don't cross over, meaning I can create a low stress grooming environment, which is beneficial for all dogs but especially if nervous or anxious.

The time I allow between appointments is enough for me to book clients in and out, have a quick comfort break and prepare the salon for the next dog. Therefore, it is important that you arrive on time for both drop off and collection, so I can keep to my schedule and avoid crossover of clients.
