Just popping in from my sun‑soaked snooze to say… Mum might be on holiday, but she’s still taking bookings. Replies might be a little slower (she’s busy keeping me supplied with snacks and shade), but she’s here.

With everyone heading back to work and school soon, she wanted me to remind you:

Something gentle and new is arriving at Beau’s Best Friends… Care & a Cuppa — friendly visits filled with warmth, conversation and a proper brew.

Hours start from £22, keeping the service accessible for pensioners, those on fixed incomes, and anyone who simply needs a little extra care. Each visit includes pet support, wellbeing check‑ins and more — all delivered with patience, kindness and calm.

And now… spaces for Care & a Cuppa are open from September onwards. Perfect if you or someone you know is stuck at home, recovering from illness, feeling a bit isolated, or just want someone to pop in with a smile and a cuppa.

🌿 Out of Office (with Beau’s approval)
After 10 nights of house sitting and weeks of caring for all my gorgeous Besties, me and Beau are officially out of the office for the next two weeks — and out of the country from 24th August.

This little sofa moment sums it up: a tired human, a very content Frenchie, and a reminder that rest is just as important as the work itself.

If you need anything for week commencing 6th September onwards, please let me know as soon as possible so I can get you booked in before I go.

Messages may be a little slower while I take this time to reset, recharge, and enjoy some much‑needed family time… but I’ll still do my best to reply when I can.

Hi everyone,

As Beau’s Best Friends reaches its 8‑month milestone, I’ve taken some time to gently review how the business is running — the hours I’m working, the growing demand, and the level of care I give to every pet I look after.

A little reminder that it’s just me — Lucy behind Beau’s Best Friends. Every walk, visit, update, message, key and mile is done by me alone. I pour my whole heart into keeping the service consistent, reliable and truly 5‑star.

One of the things that makes Beau’s Best Friends different is that I offer one‑to‑one care only. No big group walks, no mixing households, no overstimulation. Your pet has my full attention — their pace, their needs, their personality. This is a premium, safety‑led service, and your animals are always my priority.

I’m so grateful for 20+ five‑star Google reviews, and I’m dog first‑aid trained, DBS checked and fully insured — your pet’s wellbeing will always come first.

Over these months I’ve noticed:
• I regularly travel well beyond my 6‑mile radius
• Fuel costs have risen
• Demand has grown, especially weekends/out‑of‑hours
• My working hours have stretched further

To protect my time, wellbeing and the quality of care your pets receive, I’ve made some small price adjustments from 1st September. This hasn’t been an easy decision, but it’s needed to keep the service sustainable.

✨ Any invoices already issued will stay at the current price.
New bookings from 1st September will follow the updated prices.

I’m also really pleased to share the launch of Care & a Cuppa — a gentle, supportive home‑visit service offering companionship, a warm chat, wellbeing check‑ins, light help at home and pet care. From £22 per hour, this sits alongside my regular walks, drop‑ins, cat visits and small‑animal care.

I’m sharing my updated price list so everything is clear and transparent.

Thank you for supporting a small, soulful business where pets are treated like family. Your kindness means more than you know.

🎢 Business… Just Like The Big One
A day away from Armitage — all the way to Blackpool — and of course we ended up on The Big One. And honestly, it hit me how much running Beau’s Besties feels exactly the same.

You climb and climb, putting in the work, the hours, the heart.
You feel every steep bit.
You wonder if you’ll ever reach the top.

Then suddenly… you’re there.
And the momentum kicks in.
The adrenaline hits.
And you realise you built something that moves — something that carries you forward because of all the graft you put in at the start.

Today was a rare day with no time limits, no appointments, just fun with my kids. But even on the rollercoaster, I felt that reminder: Beau’s Besties is working. The climb was worth it. And now I’m riding the momentum of a business I’m proud of.

Back to walkies tomorrow — refreshed, grateful, and ready for the next loop.
