What is a scent work Foundation ORT?

It’s the first level of the National Nosework Association’s Odour Recognition Test.
Your dog has to search 12 tins and indicate which one contains the odour. Sounds simple—but it takes focus, handling, and clear communication between you and your dog.

We’ll cover all of that (and more) in our 6-week scent work course starting Sunday 13th July at 1.30pm near Johnshaven.

Drop me a message if you are interested (this course isn't on my website!)

Today marks the end of an incredible era as we celebrate the retirement of someone truly special — the heart and soul of the ARC.

Debbie has been with us from the very beginning in 2014, as the founder, former kennel manager, and chairperson. Her vision and passion gave life to this rescue, and over the years she has poured her heart, time, and endless dedication into helping countless dogs and small animals find safety, love, and new beginnings.

Her hard work behind the scenes and on the frontlines has shaped ARC into what it is today — a place of hope and second chances. We are beyond grateful for the sacrifices she’s made and the unwavering love she’s shown to every creature that’s come through our doors.

Wishing you a joyful and restful retirement, Debbie! You’ve more than earned it. Your legacy will live on in every pawprint.

‼️Rehomed ‼️

Our Flopsy is still looking for his forever 🏡.

He is struggling to bond with any other buns we have tried him with but recently spent a week on foster with one of our volunteers as a solo house bun and really came out of himself. Due to this we have decided to try rehome him as a solo house bunny, which we don’t normally like to do but feel this is best for him. He adores human company so would make the best companion for someone who is in most of the time.

If you feel you would be able to help, please send us a message.

Donation required 🐰
