Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, you can see an incredible range of different birds of prey species, from the tiny Burrowing Owl to the awesome Golden Eagle! Many of these birds are involved in our spectacular daily flying displays, whilst ot

We're all staying cool here at the

Some of the ways we do this are by:
- feeding food in ice blocks (keeps the food cold and as they eat it, they consume water too)
- some birds like water spray/running water when it’s hot so they get a lovely cool water bath

Like this post if you want to see more Birds of Prey (or staff!) keeping cool or come and see for yourself! https://www.hawk-conservancy.org/your-visit/

We have been continuing with implementing our tree safe systems to protect Lappet-faced Vulture nest trees in Kruger National Park.🪺🥰

We have now protected several trees using a traditional method of laying pointed blocks around each tree that should prevent elephants from accessing them and causing damage. The early signs suggest that the blocks are successful deterrents to prevent elephants interacting with these specific trees! 🌳🐘

Vultures are the most threatened group of birds on the planet, with many species facing the real risk of extinction 💔

These incredibly important birds face increasing threats including accidental and deliberate poisoning, habitat loss and the illegal wildlife trade

We are working hard to conserve these beautiful birds before it's too late. You can help us help vultures by making a donation: https://ow.ly/ClsL50YmTW8
