🐾 Meet Twiglet! 🐾

This lovely tortie recently spent the day with us in hospital after unfortunately taking a tumble out of a window!😮 Thankfully, Twiglet escaped with only a fractured tooth.
Our clinical team successfully removed the damaged tooth, and she spent the rest of the afternoon recovering while being thoroughly spoilt by our staff. ❤️
Twiglet especially enjoyed playing games with our PCA's fingers through her kennel door, and she was having such a wonderful time that you can even hear her purring in this lovely video! 🥰
We're delighted to report that Twiglet is feeling much better and heading home to continue her recovery.😁

Meet Heidi! 🐾

This lovely lady recently spent the day with us after her owner became concerned that she wasn't as keen to go for walks and was trembling as though she might be in pain. Poor girl! 💔
Our excellent clinical team advised Heidi's owner that pelvic and spinal X-rays would be the best next step to investigate what might be causing her discomfort.
Heidi's X-rays showed possible hip dysplasia, and her patellar reflex was found to be slightly different on the left side. These findings will help us plan the most appropriate care for her moving forward.
Although Heidi is quite a nervous dog, she was an absolute superstar during her stay with us. ⭐ To help her feel more comfortable, one of our lovely nurses, Ellie, spent some time giving Heidi plenty of TLC and reassurance in our hospital.🥰
We think you'll agree that she is a very brave girl indeed! 💕🐶

A massive thank you to all the dogs and their owners who attended our Pet Blood Bank session on Sunday.
We're thrilled to say that 6 fantastic canine donors came along, and their donations could help save up to 24 pets in need!
Every donation has the potential to make a life-saving difference, and we couldn't do it without your amazing support.

Meet lovely Flossy! ❤️

This beautiful girl spent the day with us for her spay procedure, and we're pleased to say everything went smoothly. Afterwards, Flossy enjoyed some well-deserved relaxation in our garden, soaking up the late morning sunshine while she recovered. 🌞
We couldn't resist sharing these adorable photos. Flossy is clearly a natural poser, especially with her sweet little tongue peeking out! 😍

After an incredible 18 donations, Tilly has officially retired as a blood donor with Pet Blood Bank UK 🩸

What started as a single donation in 2022 became years of helping save the lives of dogs across the UK

For owner Julie, every visit was an emotional reminder of the difference Tilly was making:
'I remember her first donation, the staff so kind, gentle, and encouraging, making it feel a safe experience. Me and Tilly have loved all the donation sessions. She’d practically pull my arm off when we were approaching the door, eager to see everyone! And everyone always making a big fuss of her, as they do all the other doggies too. Pet Blood Bank are such a kind and caring charity, and we are so happy to have been a small part of it.’

We are proud to support the work that does. Right now, blood stocks are critically low, and more donor dogs are urgently needed to help ensure lifesaving blood is available for dogs in an emergency. ❤️

A Jack Russell Terrier has been brought into the practice as a stray this morning. Unfortunately, the microchip details are not up to date, so we have been unable to trace the owner.
If you think this may be your dog, please contact the surgery as soon as possible on 01235 538721.
