Meet one of Boundary’s newest patients, Betsy! 🐾💛
This little bundle of fun got herself into a bit of mischief while out on a walk with her mum when she spotted a conker on the ground and decided it looked like the perfect snack!🌰
Betsy’s mum acted quickly and brought her straight to us, as conkers can be toxic to dogs, especially little ones like Betsy.
Conkers are toxic to dogs because they contain a poisonous chemical compound called aesculin. Found in all parts of the horse chestnut tree, this toxin causes severe stomach upset, vomiting, and in rare or severe cases, neurological issues.
Despite being only 8 weeks old, Betsy absolutely smashed it during her visit! She was such a brave and well-behaved girl for our clinical team. 💪✨
We’re happy to say she left the practice safe, well, and ready to continue her adventures (hopefully with fewer conkers involved!)

🐶 Meet Lulu! 🐾
This gorgeous girl recently popped into Boundary for her very first visit, including her first health check and vaccinations, and she was an absolute star! ⭐
We’re happy to report that Lulu’s health check went brilliantly and she’s looking like a very healthy little pup. She’s been doing really well with her puppy training at home and has also had a lovely first introduction to her new big sister, Rosie. 💕🐕
At just 10 weeks old, Lulu is already mastering life… although her owner has noticed one small (and very cute!) challenge, she’s still learning how to manage those very large Basset Hound ears, and has been known to trip over them from time to time! 😍
We can’t wait to watch Lulu grow and see her back again soon 🥰🐾

⭐ Star of the Week – Meet Dot! ⭐
This lovely lady is Dot, an 8‑year‑old spaniel who has been coming to Boundary Vets her whole life 🐶💕
Dot has recently visited us for two dental procedures, both of which went really well, and we’re delighted to say she has now fully recovered – what a good girl! 🦷✨
Dental disease is very common in dogs, especially as they get older. Problems such as plaque build‑up, gum disease and painful teeth can affect not only the mouth, but a pet’s overall health too. Regular dental checks and professional cleaning under general anaesthetic help keep our patients comfortable, healthy and pain‑free.
We absolutely love these gorgeous photos of Dot, taken by our wonderful PCA team while caring for her during her recovery from her general anaesthetics. She was a superstar throughout her aftercare and gave us plenty of smiles (and tongue pokes.) 💛📸

✨ Meet Dash! ✨
This lovely lad spent the day with us recently for a full dental assessment. Some of his lovely teeth weren’t quite sitting as they should, so Dash needed a few extractions to keep his mouth happy and healthy 🦷💙
Dash is a 1-year-old Miniature American Shepherd who visits the practice regularly, as his mum is keen for him to associate the vets with a safe and calm environment. He often pops in for weight checks (and treats!), which has really helped him feel relaxed and confident when coming to see us.
He was an absolute star for his procedure and made the most of the lovely sunshine by relaxing in the garden during the afternoon🌞🐾
Ralph came back for his post-operative check and enjoyed the nursing teams company while having treats on the consulting table!😁
