We and many others had a terrible day yesterday⛈️ but luckily all the animals are good. All is wet and muddy but nothing bad happened🙏 Loads of laundry to do🙈

Here is a little update from our latest rescue, Mom Romy and her 1️⃣0️⃣ healthy & beautiful puppies are doing so well❤️ All are warm and snuggled up with Romy. 7 pretty girls & 3 handsome boys are soon ready for a forever home🥰

Nosotros y muchos otros tuvimos un día terrible ayer ⛈️, pero por suerte todos los animales están bien. Todo está mojado y lleno de barro, pero no pasó nada malo 🙏. Mucha ropa para lavar 🙈

Aquí va una pequeña actualización de nuestro rescate más reciente: mamá Romy y sus 1️⃣0️⃣ cachorros sanos y hermosos están muy bien ❤️. Todos están calentitos y acurrucados junto a Romy. 7 preciosas niñas y 3 guapos niños pronto estarán listos para encontrar un hogar para siempre 🥰

Let’s start this weeks ‘pupdate’ by reminding everyone who’s a member of our PAWS-SOME Club to tune in to Spectrum on Wednesday morning around 11am where our 2nd draw will take place. But for those who haven’t returned the form we sent by email, please complete and return it urgently. It’s simple to complete but is important so we know if we can contact you live on air if you win . Please check your junk box if you haven’t seen it or contact us here if it’s not there

Our last event of the year was on Thursday when we had a stall at the Christmas Market at Delfos del Faz. A great turn out, some great music, artisanal products for sale and local artists. Thank you to the venue for inviting us

Our first event of 2026 is, of course, the New Year’s Day swim, which is getting nearer – those taking part are getting their crazy outfits together and braving themselves for the dip. It’ll be the 11th year and last year there were over 200 in the sea, raising 6,000€ – can we smash that at the next one? Raffle tickets are now on sale at Zeppelin’s and Utopia on Mojácar Playa, with more distribution points to follow. Great prizes already secured. Thank you to those that have already donated prizes and if there are any businesses (or individuals) that would like to contribute, please contact Brad Swift by FB messenger

Then it’s time for our monthly Bingo Lunch Club on 8th at The Snug, Mojácar Playa at 1.30pm. 2 full games of bingo and a choice of brunch for just 10€. Oh, and did we forget to mention oodles of fun?? Always fully booked so reserve your table now to avoid disappointment at [email protected]

It was time to say goodbye to Hanna from Germany who came back for the second time❤️ This time she stayed for 2.5 weeks and even went on a rescue mission with us💪 We and the dogs will miss you Hanna and hopefully we will see you again🐾

🎄🐾 We are so sorry that we had had to cancel our coffee kitten morning due to the weekend weather conditions. We will be re-scheduling it in the New Year so please be on the look out!! What can we say in this weeks pupdate other than what an amazing week it’s been?
Firstly our Quiz with Tony on Monday @ Hotel Continental went down a storm with around 90 people all hoping to take the accolade of first prize.Well done to them with a score of 70 from 75 questions!And to 2nd & 3rd place winners whose team took home a bottle of wine each

A total of 550€ raised from entry to the quiz,Guess The Name Of The Dolly & raffles. A huge thank you to Tony for hosting this event in aid of PAWS-PATAS, the largest amount of “quizzers” he’s had in this area apparently,to Hotel Continental for allowing us their beautiful venue & to both Marlons & San Pedro’s Bar for providing vouchers for the winning team of 4

Then came our final Bingo Lunch Club for 2025.Everyone made an effort - Mrs Santa and her helper made an appearance,bingo-ers & their pooches in Christmas jumpers,mince pies,mulled wine & some fabulous prizes.Thank you to Iceland for donating a luxury Christmas cake & to Bellini’s for their donation of vouchers for the winners,to Jan’s Jewels for her bottle of cava (& donations from her sale of earrings),to The Snug for their impeccable food & service,to a supporter who donated 2 hampers to raffle & to all our volunteers.A massive 634.50€ was raised

An incredible week & we thank everyone who came along to both events & dug deep with their purchase of raffle tickets
