Casa Shakti Ibiza Yoga classes, holistic services and private retreats We chose the name “Casa Shakti” as “Shakti” stands for the energy that sustains all aspects of life.

Casa Shakti is a 17th century finca (Spanish for farm), nestled in pine covered hills behind the town of San Carles de Peralta, surrounded by nature and the scent lavender and rosemary. The house sits in an idyllic spot, on a hilltop with wonderful sweeping views over the valley and out to sea and to the island of Formentera. The land extends over 50.000sqm and is covered partly by forest, which o

ffers shade and respite from the heat of the summer, and partly by a large expanse of almond trees, which blossom spectacularly in spring. Large century-old terraces are devoted to organic cultivation and to housing our 4 lovely rescue horses Arachana, Apache, Beauty and Indigo. The finca has several terraces for relaxing and enjoying the views and a lovely cobbled courtyard that leads up to our gorgeous swimming pool, with jacuzzi and spectacular views. We believe that this energy is underlying in all the activities we do here: yoga classes, retreats, healthy eating and vegetarian cooking workshops. A number of lovely rescue animals live with us here and they help us stay connected with the Shakti energy and nature.

Connection Happens in Presence
Horses, by nature, are deeply attuned to their surroundings—their survival depends on it. In the wild, there is no room for distraction; every member of the herd shares the responsibility of awareness and safety. Even when living in other environments, this remains their primary concern.

If you wish to experience the invisible bond between you and a horse, you must step into this shared presence and make them feel safe.

Making a horse feel safe is not just about treating them well or ensuring their physical well-being; true connection comes from being fully present.

For a horse, your presence means trust. It means that if a potential danger arises, you will sense it too—perhaps even before they do. If they pause to listen, you listen too. If they notice something in the distance, acknowledge it, then reassure them with your calm energy.

Even in simple moments—if your phone rings or someone walks by—stay connected. Keep a hand on their shoulder, maintain awareness, and remain in the present moment with them.

Can you do that? Can you be present? Do you feel calm?
Do you recognize the feeling of safety?

This is where our practices come together.
What we explore in yoga on our journey with the first chakra, is the same foundation we cultivate with horses.

This is how being with horses transforms into a profound spiritual and healing practice.

- Conscious connection with Horses - is a class that takes place at Casa Shakti every Monday at 17.30 (max 3ppl) or something you can request individually ✨

Hidden in a secret corner of the finca, you will discover what are perhaps the hardest workers here at Casa Shakti... the bees! 🐝

If you are planning a stay with us, we can highly recommend a guided visit to the beehives, offered by Matías. Growing up in Argentina, he spent his childhood helping his father who owned more than 1000 beehives! A unique experience where you will learn more about these fascinating creatures.

Throughout the modern & ancient world the bee is a symbol of wisdom, birth and rebirth. Bees are often considered guardians of the natural world, eternally linked with love, magic and romance 💘

The Power of The New Moon 🌙 29.01.2025

We are not just beings on our own, there are greater movements and greater cycles surrounding us, and it´s just our natural way of functioning to connect with those motions.

One of the greater cycles we are aligned to is the moon. The new moon is all about an energy drop, we are going into the darkest space. Casa Shakti is pitch dark during the new moon, the countless stars are so incredibly bright! ✨✨✨

One of our amazing facilitators at Casa Shakti is
Sol guides ceremonies and rituals here at the finca and we asked her about her new moon rituals and this is what Sol shared with us:

In traditional, historically-rooted pagan practices, the new moon was often seen as a powerful yet liminal time; a period of stillness, introspection, and preparation for what was to come.
The new moon brought her dark blanket over the lands, inviting the village to withdraw.
Many women would bleed and leave their sacred blood prayers to the soil calling in for the fertility of their fields.

New moon was also time to “sow” not just crops but also prayers or blessings for what was desired in the coming cycle.

Here’s a Ritual to welcome this New Moon:

✨ Find a spot in Nature, where to lie a little piece of cloth and a candle.

✨ Bring an offering to the altar (can be seeds, milk, coffee, honey, for example)

✨ Plant your seeds of intention:
Write your intentions for this new cicle. What would you like to call in to your life? Write them in a tiny piece of paper and bury them in the three nights of the new moon.

✨ Repeat your intentions three times in front of the Altar.

✨ Give thanks to Nature that is listening, all around you.

✨ Finish with the phrase “And so it is”.

🙋‍♀️ How do you feel when the new moon is approaching? Do yo feel a difference in your energy levels for example?
Let us know in the comments. And we´d also love to hear about your own new moon rituals!

Combine your winter stay with cold swimming and yoga & meditation surrounded by nature and the Casa Shakti animals.

Have you ever tried cold swimming? It is so powerful! The health benefits - both physical and mental - are endless. And Ibiza is the perfect place for it. Imagine empty beaches, crystal-clear waters, blue skies and a sea temperature of approximately 15 degrees. The shock of cold water triggers the release of endorphins and dopamine, improving mood, reducing stress, and combatting anxiety and depression 🫶

From the finca you can easily walk or bike down to Cala Nova, and there is a daily group you can join there.

Want to find out more about our winter stays? Hit the 🔗 linktree or send us a DM.

In the meantime, here are some more reasons to dive right into cold swimming:

1. Boosts Immune Function

2. Improves Circulation

3. Reduces Inflammation and Aids Recovery

4. Enhances Mood and Reduces Stress

5. Boosts Metabolism

6. Increases Resilience and Mental Toughness

7. Promotes Better Sleep

8. Sharpens Focus and Alertness

1 - 🌴 At the very beginning we had this beautiful big palm tree at the entrance of the house. Sadly it was infected by the red palm weevil and we had to remove it.

2 - 🐈 Casa Shakti’s very first cat: Gattone! Who’s looked into these beautiful blue eyes?

3 - 🧘 Our very first poolside yoga classes, when we didn’t even have a terrace yet!

4 - 🐴 You may not recognize her with her black mane, but this is our very own Arachana!

5 - 🎨 We have homed many artists over the past 10 years, and this was made by a special friend of ours! Do you recognize all the spots?

6 - 🪑 The living room at the beginning. We soon got rid of all the chairs in Casa Shakti ;)

7 - 🍞 When we hosted a bread making workshop!

8 - 🐈‍⬛ Cats and Casa Shakti just go hand in hand!

9 - ⛺️ You could also book a stay in our fantastic tipi back in the day!

10 - 🐎 Learning more about natural horsemanship together with our Beauty and Arachana.

Beauty was born in Mallorca. She is a pure “Menorquina” (a breed native to Menorca, an island in the Balearics), but that didn’t save her from being neglected and mistreated by some of her previous owners. We rescued her during the incredible work of Can Horse, a horse rescue association, when they were helping the horses of Ibiza.
Her passport had been lost, but it was eventually found a few years later in one of the places where we knew horses were being treated terribly. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get in, and we couldn’t let them out.
This place no longer exists, but we know Beauty was once there.
Thankfully, nine years ago, Beauty was adopted by Elena and found her forever happy home at Casa Shakti!
She is a beautiful, brave mare with a funny, unique personality.
Beauty is the best horse for a solo ride—nothing scares or upsets her. She’s curious and loves riding alone with Elena to the beach, where she would spend hours interacting with the people at the bars and restaurants.
At home, though, you might not notice this side of her. She’s shy and often stays at the back of the paddock, walking alone between the trees. 💜
