Story of day 🥇If your pet has loss of fur , itching , bitting all the time doesn’t necessarily mean that’s allergy related . And by meaning itching is not only licking and bitting some body parts , but also rubbing their back / face to the sofa or to the carpet. Sometimes it is really over excitement, but most of the time it’s itching 🐾 What do we suggest ? Check up by your vet , and skin examination 🧫 ‼️Today we are looking to some pictures from our lab microscope. And the results? Microsporum Caninum ( First Picture ) . Lucy the Labrador came to us with some bold spots all over her paws , and around the ears . After examination we took some samples both of the hair and the skin , looking into it , and this came up. Microsporum Canine aka Ringworm , is a typical fungal infection of the skin/hair/nails . It actually infects first the hair of the animals , so that’s why we see bold spots , usually round shape , smaller or bigger , single or more than one. Can be transmitted both to humans and animal . Continuing our test we found secondary skin infection , most likely that is what led the fungal infection grow so much . So what is our tip ? Always check your pets fur and if anything unusual, give a call to your Doctor to take a look take some samples to have a clear idea of what is going on . 🙏🏼🥰
