She has 3 days left, after that she doesnt have anywhere to go. Its really sad that no one is interested in Poppy. What is even more sad is that in where ever we asked, many have suggested that as a mallis, she should be pts cause mallis are reactive, attack, bite, cause damages. Everyone wants the mallis they see in the movies, trained and amazing but no one wants to devoted time and walk or train a dog.

Poppy recharging after her morning walk. Its exhausting to be a gorgeous mallis girl isnt it?Our crazy girl is doing very well with her training by her foster mom. Poppy whos a almost 2 years old is a belgian shepherd mix and has all the characteristics of the working dog.
This gorgeous girl, is very responsive to commands and training. Shes seriously smart, obeys and reacts amazingly fast. She will just need to continue working on her training since shes a working dog. In simple words, this means having a daily routine of doing things. To make her feel that shes doing her job. She doesnt show any signs of reactivity to other dogs but can be boisterous. Mallis tend to be reactive if another dog goes in their face.
Since she was an only dog so far, she can get a bit carried out. Definitely she would benefit from another doggy friend, a large size male who would teach her some things. She has been around other dogs and would happily have another dog teach her, she becomes very submissive when a dog corrects her. Her owner needs to be someone that knows the breed and will put her on a training schedule. She was tested before and she shows very good signs of sniff work. She would thrive as a sniffer dog. Of course she can jump so needs at least 6ft fencing and a good reason of not wanting to jump.
Even though she was raised with children and a cat, we wouldnt like her to go to a home without children or other animals. Once when shes adopted, she will need time to adjust and learn things. Dealing with children as well or other animals would be too much for her from the start.

That cheeky smiley look. 😊 Its 4 months now that Moya and her family are with us. These beautiful doggos are such beatiful and gentle characters. From Octavia whos their mom and the younger pups, to Moya, Bastian and Vurya. We can honestly say that they are all of them such sweet and kindhearted doggies.
Moya is one of the 3 older pups Octavia has. Bastian was adopted already and flew to the Netherlands so its her and her sister left. The girls must be just over a year old? and both of them around 16-18 kilos max. 2 pocket size pointers. 🙂 Both playful of course, sociable, happy girls and love running and playing. Moya is the most playful of the two, the most puppy-ish. Vurya is more mature, has more grown up behavior. Both seek the attention of humans and are very friendly.
Sweet Moya will be better in a family with older childer. Shes too playful in a way and will need to learn how to have boundaries at playing. Not that she would harm anyone. Shes just so excited that she can play that she can lick you to death and play non stop with you. Adopting her will be a lovely addition to your family.

Shes in foster care for soooooo long. Shes really so ugly, so bad that no one wants her?

An update on this beautiful girl, our Viola. Shes still in foster care in Lincoln, Uk which is surprising cause shes such a lovely doggy. We thought she would be snapped up with being such a gentle girl. But then again we cant force people into liking a dog.
If you follow our posts, we got Viola when she was abandoned in a parking at a supermarket. She was around 4 months old then? she was a happy puppy who loved everyone. We believe that she was adopted as a little cute pup and when that pup crew more than her adopters wanted, she was abandoned in the parking where someone would find her. For us that know this lovely shepherd/beagle girl, not being adopted is unbelievable. We thought she would be snapped up when we send her to a foster in Lincoln, Uk. Shes very smart and with her intelligence she can be easily trained. Sociable, loyal, has an amazing behaviour with any humans of any age. Viola is a labrador size girl and now hes around almost 20 months old. Toilet trained, lead trained. Not a barker and shes obedient. Its not that shes our dog but what we're saying are true. Shes all these and yet she still cant find a home.😔

2 photos, 17 months apart. Love, patience and care. Thats the perfect recipe for recovering and thank god it works with almost all the dogs we get at the shelter.
Ariadne is our dutch shepherd, Paolas girl. Shes one of the pups from the dutch shepherd family we got more than 2 years ago. Ariadne is the 5th pup, the 4rh we got from the litter. Rona, Maria and Ivi are her sisters. We didnt manage to get their brother and their mom Paola. The owner shot Paola and her son cause he wanted to get rid of them asap. He didnt give us time to find space for them. Yes, shot them and threw their bodies away. His neighbor saw them but it was late, when he told us we couldn't do anything. Before you say about punishment and laws, we need to say that this is a common phenomenon in Cyprus. Locals shoot unwanted dogs often. Especially when they go hunting and the dogs arent "good", then they shoot or abandoned their dogs on the mountains. This is done years now without any punishment. A few laws exist but arent enforced. Its like there arent any which is why we have so many strays here. Its embarrassing but we 're an island that exports stray dogs.
Ariadne or Aria was found abandoned in a very bad shape after giving birth. You can see how she was in the small photo. Shut down, very skinny, afraid to lift her head. Now shes full weight, dead gorgeous, very well behaved. Sociable with dogs cats and humans. Playful, calm, not a barker, not stressed. Shes shy but nothing like the stressed dog that was afraid of us if we lifted our hand up. If she finds an active home with older children it will be ideal for her. Or owners who love outdoor sports like jogging, hiking.
Our girl as a shepherd, will need the exercise. Shes not a belgian shepherd, shes not so active and on guard all the time as mallis usually are. As all dogs she needs the walks and lots of playing. Shes much more calm though than the mallinois.

Hes almost a happy puppy now. Almost. Still hates his cage and gets so stressed that he does circles in it. Domenico in more relaxed than when we got him and has settled down. The skinny terrified english pointer that was sticking his nose through the wire, is now a socialised cheeky boy who unfortunately still puts his face in the wire wanting to see how is life outside.
We got Domenico end of February, thats 8 months now. We posted him in the first days of March hoping that since hes a purebreed, he would be adopted easy. He wasn't, so we posted him again but still nothing. We dont know if hes just unlucky but he doesnt deserve being ignored in a cage. This goofy boy is one of the most sociable dogs we have. Hes so kind hearted, so funny and playful with other dogs. Hes never growled at another dog, only ro cats cause he doesnt like them. We love him when he tries to steal food, hes really so funny when he waits for the girls in his cage to leave some food behind so he can eat it. He has his crazy moments cause hes a youngster but hes got such a lovely and innocent character.
Its so heartbreaking seeing him in that cage. Trying to stick his head at the wire in front like he wants to open the cage and run free. Seeing everything that moves and wanting to be out there. He gets so excited if he sees a bee or a butterfly.
If only someone gave this big boy a chance. He needs it badly and trusted us we would be so thrilled if our goofy Dome finds a home. Message us if you 're interested in adopting Domenico, its an easy process and you will honestly save him.

Annie at her afternoon walk. This sweett and very lucky girlie is at her a foster home in Uk, Liverpool. She swopped places last minute with another dog that was cancelled so she managed to traveled and have a chance in finding a home. She was a very lucky girl but she needs desperately now to find a home.
Annie whos a year old, is a very happy and loving doggo. Shes a crossed breed but we dont know with what. From her fur we can tell that shes either a labrador or a shepherd mix. Shes a tallish girl around 20 kgs and her size shows us one of the 2 breeds. We cant tell though whats the other parent as many breeds have her markings. We know that shes a bit biggish doggy, very sweet, sociable, playful and full of mischief since shes a young pup. She doesn't have much confident and while in Cyprus the rest of the dogs were picking on her. A home with another confident dog and an experienced owner will be the best scenario for her. The owner is the one that will make her feel safe and teach her some things.
Where she lives now, she is with another dog thats unfortunately not so confident and things get a bit mixed up. Annie needs the soonest a home so if someone can help this beautiful girl, it would be amazing. For more infos, please message us.

Dont get fooled by those innocent cute puppy eyes. Shes a piranha in disguise. 😏 At 2 months old, Yasmina is an adorable german shepherd pup who we must admit is a very smart pup.
We got 3 german shepherd pups from their owner around a week ago. We waited a bit before we start posting them, to be sure that they were healthy. Yasmina, Yara and Rafe are the 3 very gorgeous babies and we post today Yasmina. The pups will be full size shepherds around 30-35 kilos. Already they are around 5-6 kilos each. They are very smart, obedient and if someone gives them some attention, they will learn lots of things. Yasmina already impressed us a lot.
As a young pup whos teething, she needs something to chew. Thats why we said at first shes like a piranha. Her teeth are like needles and she likes sleepers a lot cause of their soft material. Yasmina can be adopted locally in Cyprus or abroad. As long as its a good home, we dont mind the country shes adopted. Just message us and we can explain all about our adoption process.

Gorgeous Emilia, the second of the 2 moms from our beatiful labradoodle or godlendoodle family. Shes Piggys mom, the sweet labradoodle pup we posted a few days ago.
We promise that we will try and post a video of Emilia and Piggy together while playing. You will see how adorable they are together. Emilia is around 14-16 months old and Piggy around 5 months old. Mom and daughter are both stunning doggies. Very gentle hearted, very sweet and cheerful. Very playful, happy doggies, retriever character basically.
Not that we are biased, but Emilia is simply stunning. Shes got an amazing character and also a warm and gentle soul. Everyone knows the retrievers and poodles characters. Imagine all the characteristics from both breeds together in one dog. Thats what Emilia has and every dog of this family. We envy the families that will adopt them but we cant keep them unfortunately.

Big boy no. 4, Plato. Hes the tallest and the goofiest of the boys. Loves bees, butterflies, stares at the kittens like he doesnt understand what they are. Hes afraid of the adult cats, they hissed him a few times when he stepped on them by mistake.
Platonas or Plato as we mostly call him, is one of our alabai pups. Hes the only one that has the tall alabai body. The other pups are shorter and have a more build up body. They will all be around 60 kgs by the looks of it. Maybe Plato will stay lighter and be 50-55 but we kinda doubt it. This big has a huge heart of gold. Hes so funny and sweet. Loves everyone and hes cheerful. Hes also a giant baby who has no idea of his size. Hes such a sweetheart bless him, such a laid back doggo.
Alabais to be honest are the gentlest and most laid back shepherds from the XL shepherd types. Caucasians and kangals are more dominant types. Hopefully these babies will find homes soon. An update on this gorgeous boy thats in foster care in the Netherlands, in Amstelveen. Stitch has learned to go for walks on lead, to enjoy walks at the beach. He has adjusted to his new life and thats all thanks to his foster family. He meets people and dogs at his walks and gets along very well. He is still a bit shy with strangers but hes fine one he meets them.
Stitch is easy going at his walks and like all pups, he likes seeing a rabbit or squirrel or a pheasant. Now he lives with another dog and if hes adopted with another dog, it will be better. Hes toilet trained now and he learns tricks slowly slowly.
We really hope that soon he wil be adopted and he will have his own home. Stitch is a jura hound cross and hes medium size. Now hes close to 1,5 years old so a young pup, a teenager. Its best if hes adopted to a house with older children as hes not so confident. He gets spooked with young children and their loud playing so a family with young kids its not the best for him.
